Fond memories of lucid dreams when I was little...

I used to have lucid dreams almost every night when I was about 3-6 years old. I would run through the halls of wherever I happened to be, screaming, "I'm dreaming!!! I'm dreaming!!!" Sometimes I would just wake up on command because I didn't want to dream. I did this by blinking really hard. It never failed.
My best lucid dream was when I was in this town at night and I watched chickens in a ravine. It was oddly fun.

Yeah, I have a weird ability for remembering dreams. Not that I don't need a dream journal.

I remember having the best lucid dreams from my childhood. There was one where I was on a boat, one when I was in New York City...I have had lucid's since then but they aren't as vivid or impactful upon my mind.

Do you think there's a correlation between being a child/being young and having memorable lucid dreams? When you're a child you're supposed to be more "impressionable" because your mind is developing I guess. Maybe a lucid dream has more of an impact on you? I know I remember nightmares from back then too. Now, especially after I've gotten into this whole LD thing, a lucid dream is cool to have and a nightmare just gets a "whatever" 90% of the time from me. I remember I woke up in SP when I was little and I was horrified. Since then, its happened, and the impact has passed me.

I remember my best lucid dream was when I was about seven. I was in an antique shop, and nuns were walking around, following me. I realized that they had fire instead of hands and freaked out because I got a sense that they would burn me. "But wait," I realized, "why would nuns with fire for hands be following me in an antique shop? Oh, right, I'm dreaming, they can't hurt me." So I stood my ground bravely. A nun reached out with her fiery hand, and... POOF! I woke up.
      Strange, huh?
