Thread: I've LD'd before, but not since trying

Hey, I LD'd 6 or 7 years ago. All I remember is that I was in the gymnasium of my church and discovered that I can fly (pretty vauge on the details. It was a LONG time ago). Anyway, I kept flying and bouncing around inside this gym and tried to figure out EXACTLY how to do it so I could fly when I woke up. I flew around for a little bit longer and thought I had the flying down, then woke up.

I actually tried to fly in RL because it seemed so real (I was a little kid back then). I had no idea what lucid dreaming was so I thought nothing of it. Now, 6 to 7 years later, I just picked up this book and found out that the dream was an LD. I've been trying to LD for three nights now (started a DJ and RC) and it hasn't happened. At least I know its possible.

Did anyone else have a LD before knowing what it was? If so, what was the dream?

I have had them all the time, before I knew about them, that is. I am starting to think I should just let them happen, cause (I can't base this on fact yet.) I think not trying to Lucid dream is getting a good more dreams than before I could. But I've only started trying a few months ago, and 2 have come up, Whereas it took me several years to ammass the amount of LD's I can remember.
