Post My experience, plus some questions.

This is my lucid dreaming experience:

I actually have had two lucid dream experiences. That is, I had lucid dreams years ago, but eventually stopped, and began again only recently. At first, I had the occasional lucid dream (caused by reality checks), though I couldn't control it very well.I would realize that I was dreaming, but only that; I didn't know who I was, just that whatever I did would have no affect on whatever social life I had.I would never have any real goal (to achieve in the dream), mainly because of that fact.Because of this, I would follow one impulse (usually either a thrill such as flying, or something I'd prefer not to say), and either wake up or lose lucidity.I would also have some nightmare lucid dreams; in these, I would go about however the dream would have me.I would encounter something scary (such as the first boss in Super Mario Bros. 3, however odd that is), and realize I was dreaming.I would wake myself up, never realizing that these things couldn't hurt me.At first, lucid dreams weren't too often. After a while, they became more frequent, along with the nightmares.I even began to dream in a way that switched between the two (I would have a chain of nightmares, then a few normal lucid dreams). After a while of not getting any better (more lucid, longer lasting, more controllable, etc), I started doing reality checks less often.I eventually stopped having lucid dreams altogether after this.
Starting sometime in January, I decided I wanted to lucid dream again.I read a lot of things on various methods, and tried them. For about a month, nothing happened. One day, I had one of those lucid nightmares, and was excited, regardless of the fact that it was a nightmare.I had it even though I had begun doing reality checks less often (because I was convinced I wouldn't have another lucid dream).I continued to study and practice the techniques, and had another lucid dream about two weeks later.I was even more excited then, because in this one, I was able to fly (well, hover) and didn't experience any nightmare-like events.About another two weeks later (in March), I had a Tron related dream.I wasn't lucid until the end, but I managed to fly in a controllable way.In all other flying dreams (lucid and non-lucid), I either simply flew up and fell, or flew, but couldn't control speed, altitude, or any other factor. In this one, I controlled it by moving my arms, helping me to fly (called a dream crutch, I believe).I then was able to fly without a crutch in the next lucid dream. In the next one, about a couple weeks later (today), I flew for a while in my house.I am very happy about this one, because after I flew, I remembered one of my 'goals' of lucid dreaming (not all, but one).I had never been lucid enough to remember anything from real life like that.I had also never had such a long, vivid lucid dream. This goal was in another world, so I had to change my surroundings. The surrounding didn't turn out right, and I woke up before I could try again, but it was still a large feat.

I am happy to share the actual full lucid dreams (at least some, but not the private ones), but only if someone cares to know, because I'm sure this is already too long for most people's taste.Anyways, I also have a few questions:

I read somewhere that, with enough skill, you can actually shape shift in a lucid dream. It said that your mind would create as close to the feeling of that shape as it could.I doubt it, but I really couldn't debate otherwise. Can you do such a thing?
Also, can you become as truly lucid as you are in real life? Can you become so lucid that you can actually think, contemplate, and observe to the point that you could plan a detailed event or object, such as a speech, or a story? If so, can you also make the dream as vivid as real life?

There's stories of people actually becoming more vivid in dreams, opposed to when they're awake.
They say it's more colourful, and can remember it more than anything else they did in their lives.

Your brain actually operates at a higher frequency when dreaming than the normal waking state (not sure how it compares to other elevated awake states). So if you are lucid enough I guess it would be like you're REALLY HIGH ON LIFE THE ENTIRE TIME.

Also, in a lucid dream you can do anything you can possibly conceive of, like shapeshift into a castle, taste all your favorite music, or even BE THE BEST MOVIE EVER.

Super Mario Bros 3. You have good taste in games son.

Lucid dream is a skill you develop, just like learning a language. So it takes practice to become "truly lucid" and I suppose if you are skillful enough you can will yourself to shapeshift.
