      Lucid escape & awakening

Ok, so I had a lucid dream tonight. It was kind of a relief, because I haven't had them in a while. (I have had lucid dreams my whole life.)

I was with my dad in the house where I grew up. We tried to get out, but outside the doors every floor (there were 3 floors) there were some kind of guards/bandits/evil people chasing us. They wore dark clothes and some kind of weapons. My dad and I started on the top floor and tried our way down to the basement floor, but the dark men had people everywhere. (Sci-Fi!! ;) The people were not inside, but I knew they easily could get inside. As we ran up the stairs again I said to dad "Let's go outside and meet them, and we will probably wake up from this, since it's just a dream! Then we can keep on dreaming in another dream!" We went outside, and right before the guys touched us, I woke up. I remembered the dream more clear by then, and was gonna write it down, but instead I fell asleep again. (And no, it wasn't a false awakening.)

      Comments? :)

Hehe your doing nothing wrong at all, but you have to remember that this is a forum, not a chat channel so you must sometimes give it more time than 20 minutes

For you lucid dream. Its great to hear that you have lucid dreams again, after maybe a dry period? If youve had them your whole life that makes you a natural . Can you induce them at will when you want?

      Btw welcome to the forum!

Maybe it's because not so many people are online or something.. i don't know.

And since you didn't ask any questions it gets harder to come up with something to say
But just you wait! You'll notice that people will start comment soon..

And if nothing else, some admin will check this out and welcome you to the forum!

I'll go ahead and say it first....
WELCOME! Hope you'll enjoy your stay!

      EDIT:
Well Jammy beat me to it

I think this forum will help you get your lucids back (If that's what you're looking for)
      hey

Look at the dates. She gave it 24 hours.

Anyway, I'll also say welcome, NYG!

I think people are more likely to respond to something that they relate to personally -- perhaps nobody who saw your post felt like they had anything constructive to offer. Personally, I don't put much stock in dream interpretation, especially when done by anyone but the dreamer, so I don't usually comment too much on dream content (again, unless I can relate specifically to something in the experience.

Also, the time you post can affect whether or not people even see your post. If you do not post at a busy time of day, then by the time the board gets really active your thread may no longer be appearing on the list of the last 15 active topics on the index page -- which is normally the only thing I browse through unless I have a lot of extra time.

I haven't tried, and I'm not sure I want that much power over my dreams.

Thanks for all the welcome greetings from you people!

I haven't given it a thought, since I almost all the time dream (or at least used to) lucid. If I was in a "flow" of nightmares one week I simply told myself that it's ok to fall asleep tonight, I can always wake up since I'll know it's just a dream.

So to actually decide when to dream lucid is like to decide "today I want the dark tall guy to work in the grocery store". It's nice when it happens and I know it will do soon, but I don't feel an urge to force it.

But after all its your decision to be lucid. It seems you have a natural talent for being able to realize the dream state. So thats a plus i guess, if you someday want to explore at will.
