being sick and having lucid dreams

I'm finally getting over being sick this last week. I hadn't been doing my reality checks, but two nights ago, I had a lucid dream that wouldn't end!!! It was the weirdest thing I've ever experienced in a dream.

As soon as the dream began, I knew I was dreaming, but I wasn't aware of my ability to change anything. As far as I was concerned, the rules of "that world" were standard and had to be followed. So my degree of awareness was low, but at least I knew that I was in a dream. I also felt a great need to wake up. So, I tried to wake up, but I'd just awake into another dream. Then I'd try to find a way out of that dream and wake up in yet another dream. It went in circles. I would go back to others dreams that I'd left, but all with the same consciousness.

It was all very realistic, and I kept feeling that if I didn't wake up quickly, I'd be stuck there forever. I finally found this midget/monster, and I suspected that he was the cause of my dream. He even had a name: Site. I chased him up a tower and threw him off, and then I woke up.

I guess you have strange dreams when you're sick ... I dunno. It really wasn't an enjoyable dream at all though. When I woke up, I had to puke. Anyway, it was an experience.

lol, I had that exact same dream experience... I just wouldn't wake up... and I just wanted to wake up. Was 8 years old, lol. Even though the only difference was that your urge appeared in your dream, mine appeared as soon as I realized I was dreaming because I, in reality, wanted to be awake. Anyhow I just kept waking and waking up... in all these different areas until the very last part where I woke up on the couch and turned on the TV "hope this isn't another dream... " then batman started and all these bats flew out of the TV and I woke up... I've told this dream too many times on this site now... lol what is this my 5th time?

      Batman huh? Interesting.

Anyway, it's good to know that I'm not the only one!

I've had the same thing happen to me when I was sick. I'd have just a big long line of dreams - none having a real high level of lucidity, or clarity - that just seem to keep going. xD

as a kid i would often have very vivid dreams while having a fever.

i remember this one i had where i was flying through energy fields of somekind and i guess it had to do with flem in my lungs and having to cough or something because the environment would change to be smooth or ridged as i breathed in and out in real life. the breathing alerted me to the dream i think. i flew close to the ground and really fast. it was like i could feel the ground changing in real life.

Missed those days.. I would have very vivid LDs that very often contained time compression and would last long periods of time while having fevers. I wonder why the same experiance doesn't happen when I get fevers now.
      Just keep moving…
