      Ruined it

..So this is my second lucid.

I'm in a hallway, and there are a few people in it with me. There is stone tile flooring. As I'm turning a corner, I ask myself if I'm dreaming. I say no I'm not, this is too real, but might as well do the nose reality check. I do it, and it's like an industrial sized fan amount of air I blow through my nose lol.

My real heart starts pounding and my breathing is very intense. I think "calm the hell down or you're gonna ruin it!".

I remember the hand trick and start staring at my hands. They start vibrating really hard, which I assiociate with the dream fading. As a last resort I remember that you can rub the floor. Before I can try that I just black out.

Is there anything I can do to remain clam once I realize I'm lucid?

Sure! You need more practice. Excitement is a common beginers problem. I had this problem also. Many of my first LDs lasted about few seconds I also thought that staying calm is extreemly difficult. But no worries, with each new LD You will gain new experience and You will start getting used to this new reality - naturally.

If you want to progress faster - relaxation and meditation can help with controlling emotions, not only in dreams but also in waking life.

I voice this totally. The first thing you should do is calm yourself down and stabilise yourself. How you do this is unique to you, but ultimately you utilise your senses to become ''one'' with the dream. Dreams are purely made up from internal senses, so the more you use those senses, the higher chance you have of staying in the dream. Always remember: You are the sole controller of the dream. When you put in the right amount of will-power, you have the power to keep dreaming if you wish to.
