      Wow....alomst first WILD and....wow

Alrght. so i woke up this morning at like 8:30. i watched a pastor on tv and then ate breakfast. At about 10:00 i decided "you know what...i'm board. lets try this WILD thing" so i went to my bed and tried to remember how people said to do it. so i started. my whole body went numb. then my arms kinda felt floaty. but was laying there, trying to describe scenes in my head (liek the riding the bike one) and nothing happened. i'm just laying there, numb. i started to get discouraged and was like "well....they did say that it takes practice" so i was getting ready to give up. THen, my eyes twichted....and then again....and again. (while they were closed) then they started to do it faster. i though 'this is kinda funny...i heard your eyes do this when your at REM" and then they went faster. so i was like "lol...maybe i'm doing REM lol. wait, i'm still awake...can't be doing REM. hmmm..lets see whats hapens when i go with it" so i just let my eyes go all like crazy while their shut. then....i felt like this vibration. and then it went all through me and stayed. i emember someone saying this was a WILD thing. but then, out of no where it got breight and my heart started pounding. sorta like when i run or something. the vibrations increased, the liht got brighter and my heart kept going. so i got a little worried cause i'm nt sure if your heart is suppoed to do that (and i didn't want to have a heart attack cause i as trying to 'sleep' lol) so i tried to calm my breathing to calm my heart down and it eventually worked. but since i focused to hard on my breathing, the vibrations and all stoped.

ok, so i think i was going into a WILD. then something else weird happend hat you all shoould try for fun. i did a thing called "power of the mind" to where you make your hand lift just by thinknig of it. hypnotists do it as a sort of fun trick to show your friends lol. well...that happend. first one hand raised up and started going weird. then the other joined in lol. it feels kinda cool and it shows how your mind controls your muscles lol

anyways, this was almost a WILD right? is that heart thing normal or should i not do this again? cuase that felt really....really....really cool and i would like to do it again. i started at 10:00 and ended at 10:50

This have happend to me to! But i dont know what it is. It happend some times when i sat down in the typical lotus meditation pose, just to check if the pose was something to try out more. It was really uncomfortable. But then the bright light hit me, my heart began to pound and eyes flitching. You just reminded me on this. Have to try this again, in the uncomfy lotus pose

awsome, thanks. i'll go ahead and try again. i did it again yesterday. the vibrations started coming and i thought "yes!"....then our dog barked and bam, bye bye concentration lol
also, 1 question. when i start to feel the vibrations, should i think about dreaming, think about being lucid or think about nothing at all. i was going to try to think of nothing at all but then i wasn't sure if i would go into a LD dream or just a regular one.
      thanks

just think about whatever you thought about before the vibrations. If it was a kind of technique just stick to it all the way trought. The vibrations is merely a bump in the road and shouldnt be focused on when it hits you. If you get to distracted by it you will most likely wake up and have to start all over again. Just sit back and relax and see what happens.

one more thing (yes..i know...thats like the 3rd last ting lol) is it nessecary to go to sleep then wake up?

cause i tried it again last night when i just went to sleep normally and i started the whole vibration thing again and then bam, my sister slams her door shut. i swear.....every single time i get to that last step somethng happens. but anyways, after that i just wasn't really tired any more. would it help if i did the sleep and then wake up thing?

I myself had my first consciouss encounter with the vibrations when i went to bed one night.
The most people here mean that it gives best results if you wake up, after some hours, since then the mind is more in for the challange, not to drowsy and not to awake, but offcourse if your in for it at the starting of the night go for it. I myself never tend to feel that drowsy at the starting of night so i usually tries then.

Maybe what you heard was hypnogognic sound, when you heard your sister shut the door so violently?

Would pulling an all-nighter be similar to sleeping, waking up, and going back to sleep a little later? Because I'm pretty tired right now...

Nights, I doubt it. If you have been awake for what? 24-30 hours the thing your brain will most likely do is plunge you straight into delta sleep for at least 3 hours. By being awake that long, you have depleted the chemicals your neurotransmitters need to function and they will need to be replenished.
