      Still unable to fly

I tried flying again in my LD last night, I could not fly at all, though I could jump extremely high (I tried "swimming" in mid air to the sun). I can fly perfectly well in my non-lucid dreams, but for some reason it seems very unnatural for me in my lucid ones. Can anyone help?

Perhaps, at some level, you don't really believe that you will be able to. Maybe your subconscious knows you can fly, since you can fly in your non-lucid dreams, but your conscious mind won't allow that kind of break in the laws of physics.

Since you know you can fly in non-lucid dreams, flying in lucids shouldn't be all that tough (I know, easy for me to say ). But you have to really have total confidence that it will work. Keep reminding yourself that you fly in your dreams all the time -- and that just because you're lucid, that shouldn't change anything.

Do you have trouble doing any other "impossible" things in your LDs?

I think that you're getting caught up with trying to fly and you're forgeting that you're dreaming. Next time that happens, just stop for second, and say out loud, "I am dreaming, and I can fly". And with a simple push off the ground, you can fly.

Just do something else Lucid, and then as you're confident you're dreaming, just take off without thinking about it.
      Yeah. I'm a noobie.

Doubt is your obstruction. You are not in belief enough you have to gain that belief within yourself. Just like NEO in the Matrix when he told himself that there is no Spoon then you must believe that everything around is in fact you dreamworld and not reality. Belief in the dream and nothing else. Then Take off in flight! Good luck!

I second that, you can't fly becuase you expect to fall. Imagine it and you can do anything.

Thanks for all the help. I am going to try going to sleep with "I'm going to fly" in my head. I think the reason I can't fly is because I doubt it will actually work due to my lack of success previous times. So I will try hard not to doubt myself and perhaps try to increase my lucidity before attempting to fly again. Again, thank you.

Try to smack into the front of a plane, that'll give people a scare.

Just pretend you are superman and that even if you were not dreaming you can still fly.
Or maybe batman or catwomen is your style.

Either way be crazy and set your mind on the sky and think nothing about the ground.
if you feel gravity pulling you down..... think to yourself. What if I suddenly could fly and gravity was not a problem. Use the belief against itself.

There is tones of tricks you can use to get yourself flying.
Use an ariplane with no windows or something. Or a flying carpet.

meet someone in a dream that can help you fly like peter pan or just a dreamguide.

      Anyway goodluck with it.......

Maybe visualising your self flying during the days before you sleep might help, just help you tap into the self image of you flying,
