      A Little Intuition?

I've been finding that more and more lately I am becoming lucid intuitively. Does this happen to anyone else? Is there any way to increase this? Because it seems to me that would be the best way to go lucid.

Sounds like you got the shinning. I never get lucid by intuition, it's gotta be a strange occurance like a pink monkey on a uni-cycle breathing fire while re-writing Shakespears Romeo And Juliet, don't ask...
You sound like a natural LDer, do you enter the dream already aware?

Only twice have I entered the dream aware. It went like this...

I was going to sleep in my dorm room and I heard the clock beep meaning it had become 10:00 pm. The next thing I know I'm sitting up and starting to flip through this book of paintings. I immediately knew that this was impossible and became lucid. I kept looking through the book and it was filled with vivid painting after vivid painting.

Then I looked to my left where there was a lamp (not in real life) and I noticed that the light wasn't coming directly from the lamp. Just a little askew. The light was like a bare bulb on the room. The posters on my wall were mostly there and in the right place, except for some cutouts of girls from some issue of Maxim. I snapped my fingers and they "wiped" themselves onto the wall. I felt it fade, tried to spin, but it was too late and I woke.

      It was 10:08 pm.

      And this...

I was having these very vivid hypnagonic images as I was falling asleep and they kept waking me up as soon as I realized what was happening. Well, eventually, one of my friends, John, asked me for eye-drops and I gave him some. We went outside and he (now Chris) told me they were empty and threw the bottle to me. I decided they were just totally full and thus looked empty and took a sip to prove it. It was salty so I spit it out and it kept flowing from my mouth.

I thought that was a strange occurance and remembered all my hypnagonic images. So I just gave myself a second to let it go and hopefully not wake myself up from it (still flowing from the mouth). When I looked up I knew.

Chris and Mike (friends of mine) were throwing snowballs at a wall and I started to fly, hover actually. I shouted to Chris that I was dreaming and he wasn't too interested. Then I noticed this girl who had a lot of backpacks and I said for her to come over where I was (bubbling from the mouth still with Visine). She wasn't going to do it at first, but then I ordered her to. I told her to take off the backpacks and she did. Then I told her to take off her shirt, but she couldn't on account of the huge, huge helmet she was wearing. I started laughing and woke up.

I would have to say all of the above. Most of my dreams these days i become aware with no checks its like im tossed into a movie i dont want to be in so i do what i want to do. Im still thinking about this one but i think the reality checks are part of the early stages of lucid awarness. I dont really catch my self doing reality checks people talk about now. Maybe i do but im so use to it it feels natural. Its like you just know the difference. I do recall dreams when i look for wierd things before i was aware of a lucid dream. good question you have me thinking
