I've found that flying comes VERY naturally to me. I don't recall too many unexpected weightless sensations... I just kinda start floating (sometimes i'll just let myself 'trip' into it... like jumping off a diving board, except you miss the water/ground hehe). Then, as far as flight is concerned... once I'm in the air, and confident (cause i'm in the air!), I can just fly like superman or whatever. No acceleration problems. |
|
My flight is Wind-on-Fire style. |
|
I only recall once flying in a lucid dream, but flying is something that just occurs naturally to me during my regular dream, providing that the reality of the dream allows for it and there is enough open space. |
|
I used to run as fast as I could and then just let go of the ground, but now it's more like the ground lets go of me without me thinking about it. |
|
if youve seen the 2nd and 3rd matrix movies, i do it the way Neo does because it looks so cool to my DCs they get all amazed (which just reflects my feelings towards the movies) |

I learned here how to use jets. I put my arms down, with hands closed and imagine a beam of light getting out of my hands, as a propeler. Sometimes it is blue, somtimes it is yellow, sometimes it has no collor. |

"Feel free to contact me and share experiences about Lucid Dreaming"
what would be the best way to fly that would probably work for everyone. |

When I take off from the ground in LD's.. it's a lot how Spider-Man jumps off the top of the buildings in Spider-Man 2. xD But, instead of me falling and casting a web, I just sorta keep going up, and can control which way I want to go. |

I can fly somewhat. I never have fun doing it though. I can never go fast enough. I always seem to drag at an incredibly slow pace. It usually takes me several attempts to fly, but I know when I am going to succeed because I feel a pit in my stomach right before take-off. I usually have to force my body to fly, like by jumping and I have fallen a good few times and scrape my stomach along the ground. Like last night when I tried to takeoff from the back of a bus. I would jump, throw my arms out 90 degrees from my sides, tilt my body parallel to the ground... and skid down the aisle, all the DCs laughing. About the 3rd attempt I managed to take off and luckily the bus roof vanished. I flew around it a couple times going extremly slow and not being able to fly more than 30ft off the ground. Any advice on how to fly faster, higher and more consistantly? |

I only had about 4 or 5 lucid dreams in my life, so I'm not extremely experienced when it comes to flying (although I'd like to be). In some lucid dreams I tried to just lift up in the air. It was really hard and I only got a foot off the air. I don't think I was lucid enough. The lucid dream I had last night, I did fly though. Well, it was more like, jumping EXTREMELY high and just leaping 1000s of feet at a time. That's always fun. |

poopThe Smell.
I never did an actual lucid dream but I remember once I did fly in a dream, and I didnt go very high up |
|
After reading the HHGTTG, I thought Douglas Adams had the simplest approach. Throw yourself at the ground... and miss. I generally run into tree limbs and telephone wires before I get too high up, or I'll go up so high that I sort of get lost. I blame the telephone wires and limbs on LaBerge. I think he inadvertently planted those in me. |
|
First I have to run, and then cross my feet and then jump, I think start soaring against the ground and it feels like geforces are pulling me down. I slowly start to break that barrier and then I begin to fly. |

Wow, I just flew a shopping cart! |
|
to fly, i just crouch down real low and jump as high as i can, and i soar up vertically pin straight, then i just think about where i want to move and i move, to land i back up and fly very fast towards the ground, and before i hit i put my legs into a running motion and i run for a few feet before coming to a stop, and flying comes to me easily |

It says my lucid age is 10 years+ that's true but I still have recall issues
last night i had my first LD where i flied, and it was awesome! First of all, i ran while closing my eyes and just jumped, and when i opened them, i would be in the air, floating. Then, i would get in superman position, and i would move my hands in the direction i wanted to go. I tried some pretty cool tricks, like loop-da-loops, which felt just like a rollercoaster. For landing, i just floated back to the ground. |
|
Years ago when I was a beginner Lder I used to run a few steps and jump and go into the superman position but often I would come crashing down on my face if I didn't have enough belief that I could fly. For a long time now I just run a tell myself to float off the ground while running and it works 100% of the time. Then I go into the superman position most of the time. Something else that I've been doing intead of that though is just to levitate off the ground. This is my number 1 RC. If I try to levitate when I think I'm in a dream I will always levitate sometimes even to my surprise because I was sure it was real life. When I levitate I always put my arms out like David Blaine does in his TV special. |
