      Conversation with Subconcious

I had a really fun lucid dream last night, that involved lots of flying, energy, and me attempting to raise a large building straight up from out of the ground with hand motions.

But I also had a cool conversation with my subconcious. I started to become afraid in the middle of the dream, and a voice in the dream (my subconcious), told me that "I am not naturally bad," you are only choosing to percieve me as bad. Scary music was playing in the background of my dream. So then I decided change my mind about the dream and then happy piano music started playing in the background of the dream.

Then I continued with my attempting to fly up to this rollercoaster in the sky that I wanted to ride.

By the way, this is my first post back in mexico, where I first joined this forum, in an internet cafe. Good lucid memories!

      Hey sephiroth clock
What a great feeling to go through and see the transition from not having control of the situation to gaining it. I think it is better in some ways than just having it from the beginning!

Sounds as though it is an incipient Spiritual Dream. What you call the Subconscious, I would call the Higher Self. It seems to be introducing Itself to you in terms of its Moral Orientation.

The Angels are asking you if you would like to join, providing you know the rules.

Bearing in mind that the Subconscious Mind and the Higher Self are related and connected so closely, it may seem hard to distinguish them from each other, though they are not the same.

A dream might carry you into both of them. You may be able to learn things about yourself that you didn't know before (Subconscious) or learn about things to which You had no access in waking life (Higher Self).

Oh, good useful set of distinctions.

Every morning that you wakeup without a Lucid Dream, give your leg a good hard slap -- enough to make you wince. That will teach you to wake up without Lucid Dreams. Your Mind will realize you are quite serious, and will get to work putting together the necessary mental circuitries for Lucid Dreaming. Remember, the Mind needs time to set up these kind of thiings. So be patient, but at the same time keep the pressure on your Mind by giving that leg a good hard slap every morning (no bruising... or you've gone a bit overboard, okay?).

Or you cpould go quite the oposite way, if you're not into self harming (who is?) this helped me get my first one, I got some chocolate and put it near my bed, I teld myself that I could only have some if I had a lucid dream... they came pretty quickly after that. Or of couse, you could go with the normal inductions, it's all about patience. You're first lucid dream will come, in time.

Sephiroth, that's a really cool dream, I'm not sure I'd like to talk to mine though, it might say somthing I don't like. At least I can kill dream characters that I don't like.

Yep, I agree with Leo. That may help. Personally I prefer to force myself into a cold shower.
It's called a 'PILD' - punishment induced lucid dream and while it sounds a little psycho, it does seem to help

You could also try the reverse of this - RILD - or reward induced lucid dream.
Keep a chocolate or something next to your bed. If you have a lucid dream, you get the chocolate. If not, you suffer
      Exactly opposite of PILD
[EDIT: Whoops - Aquasia beat me to it ]
