I think I finally did it! (WILD)

I think I did a WILD. I'm not sure, but please tell me what you think

I woke up at 6 and stayed up for about 15 minutes. Went back to bed and tried to go back to bed for about 20-30 minutes. I was lying on my back and I was just visualizing, but I didn't really see any improvement so I decided to just watch the empty space and wait for hypnogagic imagery to come up. Thoughts and images came up and I took some ones idea of propping them ontop of clouds and let them float away. Now here's the part I can't recall very well(I either started seeing real images first or I started to feel very weird first.) The images were not very life-like but they were more real than controlled thoughts. The feeling that I felt was strange. I Never felt this. I felt like I weighed 700 lbs. Like I was under G-force or something. I figured this was it and so I let images passed and go untill I found one that I like the dream setting. I eventually found a TV with superheroes on the channel(the justice league). I chose that one because it was on the most clearer images I saw and I thought I cuold change the channel. As time went by I felt heavier and heavier and I think the weight caused my head to move slightly due to the weight/G-force. I then felt two falling sensations. I focused on the Images in the TV. it started to show the superheroes individually(wonderwoman, flash, superman). Here's another part I don't/can't understand very well. The TV suddenly disappeared or just shrunked a lot. Now do you know how on the computer you can enlarge something by clicking and dragging the outline of it? Well thats what happened except the box wasn't very colorful. Just random colors. Now I don't know what happened here either, but Now I'm watching my dream materialize. I'm in my middle school along with other new stuff. I started to see the hallway fill up with superheroes from nowhere. Then at the end I finally materialized and I was a superhero to. After a couple of seconds I lost lucidity

My dream went on(a very weird one). So can anyone tell me if that was WILD and give me any advice if I can improve on anything or how I can attain longer lucidity. Thanks for reading my experience

yes that was a WILD. you focused on hypnogagic imagery, then entered a lucid dream. but I'm not sure about the weight or "G-force".

I get these falling feelings, as well as floating feelings, when i try to WILD, or i meditate.

Sometimes consciousness fights it, so its hard sometimes to 'go with the flow'

Yes! . Do you think the weight feeling could've just been sleep paralysis taken effect? I'm never awake to actually feel what its like so this would be my first time. I also didn't try to move either because I thought it would ruin everything.

I'd have to say IMO that WILD is pretty tricky. I heard that depending on what you do you can either have an OBE/astral project or have a WILD. How would you have an OBE from there?

      Hiya

I'm no expert BUT I HAVE had 2 lucid dreams and one OBE (this is what I believe anyway). The reason I do not think the OBE was a LD was because I had had 2 LDs. I knew I was dreaming (or awake but dreaming). With the OBE, I knew I was awake - not in any way asleep and not dreaming either. I had had hypnagogic imagery (lucky me - it wasn't intentional). Basically I think I was way overdue some sleep (it was 3am) but my Dad had caused me some stress by getting drunk on whisky and sobbing (stuff about my Mum who had recently left him). I never knew how to handle him when he was drunk. I think this caused me some stress, which caused my mind to be buzzing while my body was knackered. Does that make sense? Anyway, when I went to bed I had hypnagogic imagery followed by the feeling of floating up and leaving my body behind. I enjoyed this for about 10 seconds then the second I panicked, I came straight back down.

Oh, I've just realised that that doesn't even begin to answer your question. Sorry! Maybe the difference is in the intention? I had been recently thinking about how I wanted to try OBE (and I didn't realise that LDing would make it easier for me). So perhaps I had the intention to OBE, whereas you had the intention to LD? Sorry if it sounds like a pile of dung!

      I know about the G-Force.

You get it when you enter the "Trance State".

The falling/floating feeling is also a part of the Trance State. I'll post it in a moment.

      The Trance State
When you have attained a deep level of relaxation and mental calmness, you will feel your body begin to get very, very heavy. This heaviness is the main symptom of your brain waves changing from the Beta to the Alpha level as you enter a trance. The trance state is caused by deep physical and mental relaxation. There is nothing weird or supernatural about it. It simply means your body has entered the sleep state while your conscious mind is fully awake.[/b]

      Cool, thanks Kaniaz.

Book Lover: It sounds logical to me. I'll try it the next time I actually succeed doing what I did that night.

I find that in a WILD situation, I always seem to find myself in all too familliar places, such as my house or on the road I live on. If I've been dreaming for a while and then realize I'm dreaming, I find myself in a much more interesting scenario with people I do not know and in places I am not familliar with. I guess thats kind of obvious though.

I haven't actually succeded in doing a WILD yet, but I have reached the stage where your body starts to feel heavy. I felt a kind of shocking sensation, too, like how you feel when your arm falls asleep or something. Has anyone else experienced this?

Man by reading these posts it seems like I was really close to WILDing. Too bad I stopped after about fourty minutes because I was starting to get uncomfortable..

Shocking feeling eh? I think you were going to have an OBE or Astral, I think. I felt that rush of energy when I attempted to astral project. I also discontinued because I was uncomfortable.

Uncomfortableness? I must be the only person to ever click on the big reccomended "ASTRAL PROJECTION .PDF'S" links in the tutorial section.

      Deep Trance

The level of trance you achieve depends greatly on your relaxation, concentration skills and will power. To enter a deeper trance, i.e., Theta level and beyond, you have to concentrate much more and for much longer, on the mental falling sensation aided by breath awareness. The first level of trance, i.e., when you get very heavy, is quite deep enough for projection. I strongly advise against forcing yourself deeper than a light trance, until you have plenty of experience with the trance state. How can you tell if you are entering a deep trance? There are four very noticeable symptoms:

      1. An uncomfortable feeling of cold that doesn’t make you shiver, coupled with a steady loss of body heat.

      2. Mentally, you will feel very odd and everything will feel extremely slooooow. Your thought processes will slow down as if you had been given a strong pain killing injection.

      3. You will feel disassociated from your body, i.e., a strong floating sensation and everything will seem far away.

      4. Total physical Paralysis.

Note: These four things, ALL TOGETHER, signify you are entering a deep trance.[/b]
