Thread: I think I just had a lucid dream...

I'm smiling so much, this is my first one ever. I was even smiling in my dream that I managed some lucidity.

Basically I was at a prom/ball with my friends from school and, to cut a long story short, everyone disappeared somewhere. I was outside, I looked up at the building and there was a secret door up there on the balcony. I had no idea how to get to it so I said to myself "There is some lucidity going on here, get to the balcony" and the next thing I know I was there on the balcony.

I made myself push the door open and there were all my friends. The dream carried on as normal.

So, I think I had a minor bit of lucidity there. I was definitely concious of it being a dream but I was controlling it, to some extent.

What do you think? I'm so excited.

Well it definately does sound like you had some control of the dream for a second there.

Congrats! I hope you have many more.

That's totally awesome! I remember when I had my first LD. Just like you, I was only able to control it for a few seconds and then I lost lucidity. But it was still an amazing experience, and it showed me that controlling a dream was possible.

hey man I just had my first LD earlier this week!! Two breakthroughs in one week! I could only control my dream for a few min also. Then I dont remember. Did you wake right up afterwards or did you remmeber it the next morning? I woke up like 3 times after my LD and I kept saying to myself "gotta write this down" but I just keep falling back asleep.

My lucidity was very much at the end of my sleeping session. It was quite vague afterwards when I tried to prolong it, and I was concious of my mum making noises round the house (it was about 10:00am). The first part of it was definitely lucid but I came quite concious of being half-awake-half-asleep when I tried other things with my lucidity.

The only thing in my mind were just still pictures and I was trying to animate them but then I properly woke up, and I was gutted. I turned over and managed to fall asleep again but my lucidity was not to continue. I had five dreams altogether, three before lucidity, one during and including lucidity, and one when I fell asleep again.

Quite a session. It was fantastic.

Ah yes..... the first LD I remember was me going through a Zehrs Food market (Canadian Branch of grocery stores. I Believe derived from either Fortino's or Longo's. At least its better than No Frills. ) I was jumping around like a pinball when I finally was losing my lucidity, at which point I remembered to spin around in a circle. I did so in a break dance-ish manner, spinning on my head. Awesome dream.
