And SO I regain the ability to fly!!

Last night I had the longest Lucid dream ever.

It started off with me walking in my house, then I decided to do a reality check out of habbit. I counted six fingers on my right hand but I thought I miss counted it. So I tried again, ONce again, 6 fingers, but I still wasn't convinced..I didn't one more time and STILL wasn't convinced. (man i'm stupid). I then decieded, I might as well try flying...so I walked into some huge room that isn't a part of my house in reality, rubbed my hands together to increase the LD quality, and suddenly felt this burst in my stomach almost assuring me I will be able too.
I flexed my abb muscles as hard as possible and started to float, then when I released, I suddenly had this HUGE burst of speed. I sort of went out of controll and started to bounce off walls. Once I gained controll I flew to my school, Neo Style , and for some reason, everyone was going to school as if Summer break was over. I thought I'd just have fun flying around my school for a bit and started to fly (above the school building) up really high, then back down. I did this for a very long time then after amazing everyone, I flew back home.

When I landed near my room,(I went threw the ceiling lol), I walked around then decided to hover a bit...but I couldn't . then I herd the annoying music of wrestling, comming from my brothers room.. I got angry and I flexed my abbs again and started to hover..slowly I released and stayed hovering.. then I wen't down because I saw my best friend. I walked to him...told him I was having a lucid dream, he said he was having one too, (i'll find out today if we were dream sharing) I said mine felt like it lasted about half 'n hour.

I then had a false awakening (but stupid me, I didn't sease this oppurtunity to have another lucid dream) and well.......that's not of importance.

Anyway, I'm just glad I finally was able to fly again!!

      6th FULL lucid dream!! WOOHOO!

Nice work. I've never had a false awakening, what are they like in retrospect?

All I can say from my experiences with them is, they feel Exactly like a normal awakening.

Only difference is, they aren't. Try to do reality checks every morning when you wake up, then when you have another false awakening, you will check if you're dreaming and realize you are.

Wow that's a really long LD! I'm glad for you. I think the longest I've had was about 15 minutes. How accurate was the scenery while flying over your school, anything out of place? Oddly I have never done reality checks in a dream, I always just assume I'm dreaming lol. Hopefully I don't end up jumping out of a building in real life on a groggy day
Never stop searching for truth. In your search you may think you have found it, and perhaps you have, but if you hold on tightly to a single thread it will fray and it's greater meaning will become lost. There is always more truth stretching deep beneath the surface that promises to reveal ever greater the infinite, interwoven fabric of truth, woven in the looms of Heaven.

False awakenings can be a blessing or a curse. It depends on the situation you're in, and how apt your mind is to play dirty tricks on you. The way I see it, false awakenings are more common in lucid dreams than normal dreaming, because the act of awakening is so fresh in your mind, usually because you don't Want to do it, as you're aware you are dreaming. So your mind creates the act of waking, out of the strong desire Against waking...or at least mine seems to..slick lil bastard...

On the one hand, I had an awakening where I woke in my bed from a lucid dream one morning, and got up to write in my dream journal. Sitting down at the computer, I noticed something wasn't right. As a reality check, I attempted to lift the cup that was on my desk with my mind (a much more fun RC than checking a clock twice 8) ) and watched it float up off of the counter, turning a false awakening into two lucid dreams in a row.

However on the Other hand, I had gone to sleep one night after watching what I think was one of the Elm Street movies and I was dreaming up hypnogogic sound from the horror flick that wasn't even on. So I woke up (still in the dream) to see the tv had been turned back on. I went to the tv, trying to clear my (stil groggy) mind of the sounds of screaming coming through the speakers. First I just tried to turn the channels, but the picture and sound stayed on the disturbing images and audio. I flipped it over and over and it stayed on the same channel. Then, I woke up again, and the room was dark, as it has really been when I'd gone to bed. Getting up, and went to the tv, as I turn on the news every morning before work. And I'm bombarded with the sounds of screaming and laughing and all that scary shit as the tv came on to show the same movie. This happend Twice more (making a total of about 4 false awakenings in a row) and that kinda thing is enough to drive you crazy. Lol.

So my advice to you is: If you have a false awakening, figure it out quickly before you catch any Surprises.
