      1st lucid dream?

Hello everyone. I just got into Lucid Dreaming and have been reading about it extensively throughout the past couple of days. I just tried the WILD method, and this is what happened.
I awoke from about 5 hours of sleep, and had a cup of tea. I think of myself as a deep sleeper so I thought the caffeine would lighten me up. I got back to my bed and tried to relax myself. After about 10 minutes of relaxing, I didn't think I was going to get back to sleep. I kept thinking to myself, "I am dreaming, I am dreaming." Then I was on a bus, with a previous band I had parted with a few months ago, but could only see the back of their heads in the distance. The band did not part too peacefully. I remember hearing a voice saying that the band should get back together and it talked about how much of the image would sell. I thought to myself, "No Way!" Then the voice got deeper, and I can only remember the voice saying "dream is reason" Then I thought to myself, I am dreaming. Everything went white, and I woke up. I think it may have been because I got excited.

That is great. You did achieve lucidity. Next time, though, once you get to the point that you realize you are dreaming, don't even think about the fact you are dreaming anymore. If you concentrate on knowing you are dreaming, it will start to wake you up. Instead, immediately look around and find something to do. Be on a mission, try to get somewhere, try to do something. Usually if I have things to do, I stay lucid.
Never stop searching for truth. In your search you may think you have found it, and perhaps you have, but if you hold on tightly to a single thread it will fray and it's greater meaning will become lost. There is always more truth stretching deep beneath the surface that promises to reveal ever greater the infinite, interwoven fabric of truth, woven in the looms of Heaven.

Thanks for your feedback guys. I will try to think of other things to do next time. It was very quick how it changed from me knowing it was a dream to just white. Hopefully I dont get too excited next time
