Just woke up from a vivid DILD that was caused by becoming randomly aware during the dream. I'm pretty sure this is because I've been practicing ADA for about a month now and I'm getting better. But anyways this was the most vivid LD that I've ever experienced!
Here's my journal entry:
I find myself hiking along a trail in the mountains on the outskirts of some city at night. The air is crisp and fresh, the sound of a waterfall is in the distance, and I have a strange tranquil "dreamy" feeling. I continue walking the trail and come to a break in the path where the city's skyline is visible, what a sight. I decide to look up and notice something is wrong with the sky. There were no individual stars visible, but galaxies! Spread across the night sky! They looked exactly like one of the Hubble Space Telescope's deep field pictures, just more fantasy like and brighter. At this point I didn't even bother doing a RC. Remembering what I learned lurking on DV and I kept myself calm and did some stabilizing techniques so I don't wake up or lose lucidity. After rubbing my palms and doing the "focusing on your hands" technique I took off flying, eager to do what I've been waiting to try in an LD for a long time (fly into space). The first thing that caught my eye was the galaxy M51 which looked like a beautiful bright red pinwheel smear in the sky. I flew up towards it as fast as I could. The galaxy seemed to be getting closer and by now Earth was no longer visible beneath my feet. The vacuum of space in the dream felt warm and comforting, it's hard to describe. But just as I began to enter one of the galaxy's spiral arms, I woke up! I would say the whole experience lasted around 10 mins.
Just had to come here and write about it after I woke up. I'm gunna go back to bed and see if I can pull off a WILD now.
