Finally-I successfully WILD and met my DG

I had a rollercoaster with consciousness this afternoon. But if you are eager just like I am to learn and understand what happens during WILD, hear me out. I will give as much details as I can so you guys can also learn and use it to help yourselves:

I believe it was LaraCroft (If I remember her name right) that told of her story of WILD and how she was interrupted so many times that she was cursing. I loved her story!
But mine is similar. I went to bed tired --from sleep deprivation. I am beginning to think more and more that sleep deprivation does help. I tried to WILD, but I fell asleep. Phone rings. Woke me up. I was groggy and went back to bed to WILD again. I fell asleep. Phone rang again. Woke me up again. Cursing and groggy, went back to bed. No more WILD!! I just want to sleep So I went back to bed, but I was thinking of all the things I had to do during the day. So I had the perfect combination for achieving WILD--body ready to kunk out and mind was reeling with thoughts hence staying awake. I did pass out. I had a dream where I noticed I was doing something that I normally would not do in real life. This made me aware that I was dreaming. How come I can't become that aware during my normal sleeping hours?? Maybe because I wasn't so close to consciousness as I was during a nap where I was barely getting sleep. However, when I realized I was dreaming, I started to wake up. I instantly saw the dream world fade and green snow replaced my vision. I felt my breathing was fast and I felt the vibrations and pins and needles throughout my body. Oh no! I was coming out of REM!! I am so glad I did WILD in the pass to recognize those physical features. Otherwise, I would have awoken up more because I would be scared.

I talked to myself and said--"Stay calm. We're at REM. Just relax. Go back to sleep." I started to daydream the previous dream to help bring back those Hypnagogic Imagery. I immediately saw the green snow fade away into a dream world setting, my apartment. YES. I now know what the transition looks like from WILD to REM. I consciously witnessed my dream world surfacing. I have been trying to do that for a month. However, I slowly passed out by following what happened in the imagery. Without getting into much detail of the mini-dream, I was doing things again and realized again--"OMG I am dreaming again!" I ran to my den in my dream world. I did a reality check of seeing if my AC was in the kitchen wall. And it wasn't. "I am dreaming." I grabbed my Stephen LaBerge's book and said, "Stephen, I am lucid. This book does help." I looked at it and saw the text was all scrambled. "And my reality check proved!" I stood in my den realizing I was going to wake up again. I started to feel the physical features of REM with my body and breathing. I was not going to leave dream world again. I said, "Okay, calm down. I want to stay." And so I stopped focusing on my body and focused on the dream world.

I first said, "Clarity." Because it was a bit blurry. It became clear. I then said, "Stop!! I want the dream world to stop in its tracks. I am finally lucid and I don't want to lose anything and I need to think." Funny, now that I think of it. I then said, "I want to leave this apartment now. I want to go outside. Subconcious--take me out." A door appeared and I walked out into a beautiful neighborhood. I was at a mansion. I saw the sky so vivid in color and stars. I walked up on the front lawn in awe. "Hello dream world!" The street lights were too bright. So I said, "please turn them off." They didn't turn off right away and I worried if I had dream control. I said to self, "Please subconsious, I want them off." And they turned off. I walked into the street. I saw characters from my childhood cartoons and TV shows and what-not, walking about and riding bikes and waving at me. I headed up to one group. "Hello. I want to look for my Dream Guide. That is my subconscious. My inner self" Tsen (one of my adopters) have been teaching about Dream Guides and so I want to meet mine. The dream characters laughed. "Don't laugh," I said. "You guys are nothing more than images produced by my subconscious." They all were taken aback looking at me now with serious faces. A girl stepped forward. "I will take you to your Dream Guide." We held hands and she and I walked around in the beautiful world. I tried to do things. I said to her I wanted a better sky. But it was difficult to do. I also said to her I wanted to fly. She said why not. I couldn't at first, but she was flying. I focused and soon I was flying over the water with her. I turned to her and said, "You know, I am learning more and more of myself with being lucid in dreams." It then dawned on me who she was. "YOU are my dream guide." She smiled. I said, "I know it now because you are helping me learn of what I can do in lucid dreams and I am learning of my abilities."

Well, I don't want to bore you with the rest and goodness--I wrote a lot!
I am just excited and happy that I had a lucid dream after about 4 weeks from my last and experienced a good WILD.
I hope this can helps others too. I noticed--you can talk to yourself as you do WILD. Some people say you can't. But I believe WILD is different for different people. So guys--when you least expect it, be prepared to WILD

Oh, one more thing--to help out further those who are trying to do WILD--keep practicing!! I got into the habit of pulling myself out or becoming awake consciously from the Hypnagogic Imagery. It then gets easier for you and builds your success at WILD.
If you have any questions, I will try to help. I *know* how frustrating it is to WILD. And I know there are many here who want to

wow, i must say that this sounds really exiting!
      You are very lucky
i wish i could do the same!
the closest i've come to wild, was when i fell asleep some days ago,
and then all of a sudden my mind just turned on, and i saw these images flashing, i immidiatly opened my eyes up, because i got really startled by this, but i got really angry when i was thinking about what a chance i had to finally become lucid..

It was really nice to read about your dream, sounded really pleasant

      keep up the good work!

You can do it. It just takes time and practice. When you practice, you start to recognize the steps or strange feelings you feel and that helps you prepare you. I thought I would never succeed at WILD, but Tsen told me that it took him months and that helped me have more confidence in myself. So I want to say for all that it does take different times for different to do WILD, but also I realize and agree with Tsen--it does seem to depend on if you are in the right state of consciousness and that is the hardest thing to do.

I agree about reading others experiences!!! That's how I learn too. That is why I wanted to share this

I suggest Clairity, to think of a plan for the next time you become lucid to talk to your DG. I had plans and they did carry out to some extent. I really didn't get a chance to have a great convo with my DG. Next time I will ^_^ and I am sure you will because you earnestly want to

      LOL
And Santa, it did kill me >_<
I can't do it even after much coffee!!

And thanks Jay Dawg for the rest of your comment, but I really feel it was a stroke of luck. Congratulate me when I can WILD and LD on command

Good to hear of the success! :bravo: (heh...couldn't decide on just one smiley.)

Anyway, just curious, how long did the LD wind up being overall? And any more success or near success since then?

Well, off to bed now. 'night!

This is the farthest i've gotten to a wild :

I went downstairs to sleep on the couch so i could watch a dvd movie. I chose the movie "Hero" beceause it has no english, juest english subtitles .(I planded on WILDing and useing the text as a reality check sign) Than ,as i got tired i closed my eyes and got in a comfertable postiton.(laying on my back with my arms a little out to the side so they wouldent lose blood) As I listend to the sound affects in the backround i made up the movie's scenes in my head . I occanasaly stopped daydreaming and checked my line of vision for visual imgary. When some finaly appered ,the movie was about 45-60 mintues from over.but as i watched the imgary my eyes kept opening (i didn't want to close them to tightly ,as it would distract me from my final goal) and each time they opened i would be distracted by the credits of the movie.by this point my body felt long gone (exept my right arm and varius parts of my torso and head) and my body felt weightless.I tryed many techneques to bring back my HI but all of them would be stopped when my eyes opened. in all of your attempts has this happend to you and how did you counter them if so?

      Thanks Tsen *lol*
It must have been your talks on Dream Guides

I remember reading from Stephen that what you do in a lucid dream takes about the same time you would do it real life. So I would say...10 minutes LMAO Not long, but my dream did a lot of those transition changes.

I tryed many techneques to bring back my HI but all of them would be stopped when my eyes opened. in all of your attempts has this happend to you and how did you counter them if so? [/b]
I personally have not heard to do WILD like that. It sounds really cool to do that with the TV as a reality check. But WILD is based on the steps your body goes through to go to sleep and if you keep opening your eyes, you are not going to go physically asleep. Same thing goes for your hearing. The reason why your body felt weird was probably because of not moving it for so long and the body sense of touch gets used to what it is feeling around it and so it feels weightlessness.
You must literally go to sleep except your mind. That is WILD. HI is simply just images briefly flashing in your mind as you slowly start to pass out. Everyone experiences them. It is just whether or not you are aware of them. All you need to do is just go to bed and basically go to sleep. As you start to doze off, fight off the part of 'losing' your mind to the sleep world. It is hard!! That's what makes WILD so much fun and challenging. I count. That is one method that helps me to stay focus.

So lay there in bed. Try not to think of anything OR daydream. Daydreaming helps me go to sleep quicker and brings about HI quicker. Try to stay focus to what is going on in your body as you go through the stages so you become aware of what to expect, BUT in the future many suggest you then should go through the stages without much focus on your body because it will wake you up. Just do so at first so to know what to expect and how it feels (ex. the vibrations). Start counting. This helps you stay focus as your body goes to sleep. Soon enough you will start to experience your HI

      I hope this helps
