First non-spontaneous DILD - with lots of creepy DC's

I had my first consciously induced DILD, and my first time doing a RC in a dream. Yay!

I was in a non-lucid dream, sitting on the floor with a laptop. I was scrolling some text back and forth when I noticed it was doing some strange things to my vision. I got an idea -- if I scrolled it back and forth really fast and repeated my mantra, I'd wake up in a lucid dream.

I WILL have a lucid dream... I WILL have a lucid dream... I WILL have a lucid dream...

      BAM! Lucid!

The first thing I notice is that it's really clear visually, but forget to look at my hands. I see the coworker I think is cute walking up the stairs near me, and realize I had just seen her walk up the stairs a minute ago when I wasn't lucid, but she is wearing something different now. She says hi to me and keeps going. At this point I get really excited that it finally worked, stand up and start trying to feel the wall next to me to see if I can go through it. I see a few DC's come around the corrner and say/think "That's Amiana, what the hell is she doing?" Oops, maybe I should RC first. Pinch my nose and I can breathe through it.

Starting to explore the area -- it's a large building with a strange layout and random stairs that appears to have no apparent purpose. It's brightly lit, many of the walls are a teal green color, and there are a lot of DC's milling around.

I notice I'm holding a piece of fried chicken. I'm not sure how it got there and still don't remember to take special notice of my hands. I can't seem to make it disappear so I throw it. I want to try out my voice, so I start yelling stuff. It comes out clear at first, then starts sounding more muffled. I'm beginning to attract the attention of the DC's who all appear to be very interested in/amused by me.

I keep going and try walking up the walls, then launch myself off the ceiling -- ok this is fun, but I want out of this place because all of the zombie DC's are creeping me out a little. I float into another room and see a bunch of paintings on the wall, so I decide to head up to them and try to go inside one. I can't, I try a few and my hand just hits hard glass. A few DC's are crowded around me trying to figure out what I'm doing. I keep going a little and finally find an exit to the outdoors.

There's some playground equipment and trash/old tires laying around on the lawn, and it eventually turns into a forest of some coniferous trees. I do another partial RC and look around, thinking to myself that I still have no idea where I am so I must be dreaming. I notice some DC's following me so I climb up one of the pieces of playground equipment. One of them, a very short guy with dark hair follows but waits at the bottom, staring up at me.

He seems a little more aware than the rest, so I decide it's time to start working on one of my goals. I'm not sure if I actually said this verbally or just thought it, but I asked him if he could point me in the right direction to find my dream guide. He responds "I'll be your dream guide! Let's go somewhere secluded first..." and gives me this dirty grin, and I get a really bad feeling. Um, no thanks. A woman comes up to stand next to him, she's talking to herself and is wearing a strange hat. I'm now quite certain I want to get out of this place, so I head for the trees and I realize I'm actually trying to run. I stop and try to will myself into the trees, but it doesn't work.

I feel myself fading away, then wake up.

      Things I learned:
      1. Resist the temptation to play long enough to stabilize!
      2. Knowing I shouldn't be afraid and not feeling fear are two very different things.

Every man and every woman is a star. Every number is infinite; there is no difference.

Congratulations! Seems to me that you had decent awareness in this LD, which is very good. Don't worry about forgetting to look at hands. It is very hard to remember everything and to have full awareness and full control, but this was definitely not just a low awareness LD because you noticed a lot and acted upon what you noticed, so congrats.
