Thread: When I least expected it

I finally had a lucid dream after a year and a half of trying on and off. I hadn't tried to lucid dream in like a month, but last night i had my first real, fully lucid dream. It was a DILD.

I was dreaming that I was at some museum/ theme park. They had vending machines that were really expensive, so I decided to try amethod of unlocking pop machines that i had learned recently. I got the door open and grabbed some gatorades and passed them to my friends. Then security came after me. I tried to run but I couldnt. it was like trying to run through water, there was to much resistance. In real life I am a very fast runner, but in my dreams i can never run fast. I realized that this was a dream sign, so after security got done with me I took control of the dream (sort of). I found myself in the parkoing lot of my high school. One of my friends was there, and since he has also been trying to lucid dream I thought I would try to explain to him that it was a dream. He didnt seem very receptive to the idea so I gave up, since I knew it wasnt really him anyway, just a dream character. I decided to prove to myself that I was really dreaming. I jumped over some cars. It seemed easy so I decidied to try to fly. I couldn't get up for more than a few seconds. I cant remember what I did after that, so its possible that I lost lucidity.

Anyway, that was my first LD and it came when I least expected it.
