      Second LD

      Hello all,

I just had my second LD last night! The first part was a bit fuzzy, but I remember telling one of my friends about lucid dreaming over Skype before I went to bed and saying that I was gonna try very hard tonight. I remember seeing the recurring DC that I now have come to call "K" but stupid me forgot to RC at the dream sign. I believe that he lived next door to me and I saw him out barbecuing, and he waved and smiled at me. I am so mad that he's a smartass and I don't even realize it. So I went to sleep in the dream and started dreaming again. I remember driving a car down a highway, and looking up at a sign. The letters were distorted and moving back and forth like water or liquid. It snapped me into lucidity (but for my nLD self ) Being my nLD self, I tried to do some stupid crap. I went into a convenience store and poured out a huge bottle of orange juice on the floor and laughed at the DCs' reactions. I walked around a bit in the dream in a dream and talked to DCs until I decided that I would try to do something like summoning. I thought very hard about the fact that I was in a dream and I could do anything, and then the real sense of lucidity hit me. The one from my actual conscience two levels above. The dream started destabilizing very quickly and I woke up. Two good things came out of this: An epic Inception-like dream, and the fact that K still is in my dreams so I have hope of him getting me lucid again.

      Congrats on lucid dream!
What do you mean by 'two levels above'?

As in, two levels of dreaming (in a sense) I was thinking of it more like a house or a video game, where my waking life is sort of a starting place/ground floor, and then the nLD is more of a first level/first floor and then the dream that I had there was a sort of "second level". When I said "two levels above" I meant that then my waking brain was thinking, as opposed to my nLD self's conscious.

Ah, i don't really like concept of levels/layers because they often artificially add unnecessary limits, and lucid dreaming is about having no limits. Also keep in mind that having different personality in dream not necessarily means that it's not-lucid, since our waking memory in lucids, and especially low awareness lucids, can be different. What makes non-lucid dreams about lucid dreaming actions(Which you are referring as 'nLD self becoming lucid' i guess?) often distinct however is lack of 'aha' moment and feeling that dream was non-lucid.

Yeah, I get what you mean, but my nLD self kind of forced me to think that way in the moment.
