DOES THIS COUNT AS AN LD

ok so im pretty pissed. every night im in a dream thinking that its just a dream. but im never lucid enough to say "oh crap this rules, maybe ill try some cool shit like flying". i always wake up from THOSE LDs.

anyway, lasntight i was shooting beasts in some FarCry hangar base with a machine gun. some dog chased me and i kept missing his head when i tried to bash it in. so i was like "duh its a dream, just focus" so i carefully lined it up and tried to use my mind to poke him in the eye with my gun.

whenever i have these nightly "lucids", the thought of dreaming only lasts a few seconds until im off doing whatever else is in the script. is this a good thing or a bad thing, cuz im pretty pissed. WHAT SHOULD I DO!!!

Well, if you become lucid at any time during the dream, I think it still counts as an LD, even if you then lose focus.

I'd say, try and keep looking at something that will constantly remind you that you are in a lucid; go back to that reality check again and again.

Yell out that its A dream and you can do what you want, and make sure to yell it loud.

Not sure if it will work or not, but it works when I say "Increase Clarity" and suddenly it becomes clearer.

DANG, you see, im only ever lucid enough to think its a dream just long enough to do some needed dream powers. NEVER lucid enough to do RCs or shout INCREASE LUCIDITY! if i could there wouldnt be a problem! the few times ive actually been FULL blown lucid, i was doing RCs and rubbing my hands and saying increase lucidity, but still would wake up from excitement!

and so it goes back to the idea of "dreaming that youre lucid" versus actually being lucid! or maybe its just a low level lucidity.

It certainly does count as an LD, just not one you want to add to the archives I would surmise. As long as you come to the conclusion in your dream that you are indeed in a dream, that is an LD. If you have a PASSING thought of it being a dream, and the thought is never really acknowledged, it is not an LD. I've had lots of dreams where "this is a dream" swims through my head momentarily but I never actually think about that thought, it is just fleeting.
Never stop searching for truth. In your search you may think you have found it, and perhaps you have, but if you hold on tightly to a single thread it will fray and it's greater meaning will become lost. There is always more truth stretching deep beneath the surface that promises to reveal ever greater the infinite, interwoven fabric of truth, woven in the looms of Heaven.
