      I did it!!!

      Hey people!

I had my first LD last night

I've been trying for just over a month.

I flew out the room but got stuck in the wall for a moment. I rolled and freed myself. Then I landed outside and that was it. But I woke up, woke my wife gave her a hug and told her about it. Bleary eyed she said, "whaa'. Go back to sleep..." - and that was a FA. Then I woke up for real.

      How cool, huh?

That's awesome! It's the best feeling when you achieve that first lucid! Congrats and keep your momentum going, realize what you did right and improve on it!

      Hope this helps, cj :

It went something like this: I awoke naturally somewhere between 1.30-2am and tried to do a WILD. But I was so tired that I gave up, rolled over and fell asleep. I must have had about 4 non LDs but then on the last one it just hit me in an instant that I was dreaming. I literally felt my dream eyes open and all the colours sparkled. I then flew out the window (though I got stuck in the wall at one point)

One thing I did which probably helped was to watch dramatic TV shows and at all the most tense parts I made myself do RCs. Kind of like associating the experience of heightened emotion with triggering reminders to do RCs.

      Good luck!

Thanks alot! You seem to have a lot of good ideas, never thought of reality checking during movies etc! And one last thing, do you find that if you attempt wild that your mind gets to active and stops you from sleeping ?
