I had my first Lucid Dream this morining!

Ok the dream started out in my kitchen there were these 2 big monster type things and me and my family were killing them with these swards and like they would only die if you stabled them in the heart this went on for awhile and we eventually killed them it took ages. After I went to go for a ride on my bike lol and when I was riding down this road I looked behind and there was one of the monsters on a bike chasing me! Then another one came, then another one and there were loads! And as I was riding away from them I suddenly realized this was not possible and that I must have been in a dream, I looked behind and these monsters were gone I quickly rode home all excited and shouted for all my family to come out I told them that I was in a dream and that I could do anything. I tried making one of the trees float in my garden the tree started moving but it wouldn’t come out of the ground all my family were shocked at the moving tree I tried making flowers appear buy putting my hands out and raising them up and this worked!1 flower popped out then I tried to do other things like trying to make myself float but nothing would happen but I knew it didn’t work cos I was too excited and I wasn’t focusing on it enough and I could also wake up if I got to excited. So calmed myself down a bit and I thought I would try make money appear, for some reason I didn’t realize that the money wouldn’t be there when I woke up anyway I clicked my fingers and coins came out but they were coins from different countries and like old English coins, so I closed my eyes and focused on pound coins, I clicked my fingers and out they came I think I got so excited at that point that I woke up and it was 11:00am So woo I had my first lucid dream! -Finally yay

For the same reason you told your family that you were dreaming. You knew you were dreaming, it was certainly lucid, but there are subtle levels of lucidity. At lower levels, you can't even dismiss danger as unreal, and at the higher levels, you can preform complex experiments with full appreciation that experience is the only thing you can take with you when you wake. You'll find that you slip back and forth between different levels of lucidity throughout each lucid dream, such as when you made money.

Grats there. The feeling sure is nice when you wake up and slowly realize that you just had a Lucid Dream. Sounds like you had a pretty worthwhile one as well.

By the way I share your pain for finding money and such in dreams; once I found a pile of old (and probably very valuable) coins, and I stuck them all in my pockets. When I woke up I thought I had actually somehow acquired them in real life so I was kind of bummed when I remembered it was just a dream. : /
