My first lucid dream. It was awesome...Yes!

I finally got my lucid dream. The dream was long, but I didn't realize I was dreaming except at the end. And the only reason I knew I was dreaming was because I wanted to get myself out of trouble.

I was in the this wierd competition. I was supposed to some how destroy two pages from a book, but each of those pages had keepers. No one was ever able to destroy them. I tried every trick I knew. I even tried to make them go against each other. Nothing worked.

Then I picked up a knife, and stabbed one of them. I knew this was a no no because he would do the same to me. Of course, the page keeper didn't die. Now he was after me. He followed me from place to the other. No matter where I went he went. I was trying to convince him not to kill me. He mentioned to me that he had killed a very close friend who did the same to him.

I was so desperate. I wanted to get rid of this guy. Then I suddenly realized I was dreaming. I have no idea how. I didn't even think the dream was wierd. I just knew. Oh... and I didn't even get excited knowing I was dreaming. I just kept on going like everything was normal. I don't know why, but that's what happened.

So I walked away from him, and he started to follow. I stopped and told him that I knew of a way to get rid of him. He asked how?, and I told myself to wake up, but nothing happened, then I remembered what you guys said on the forums.

I started concentraiting really hard, and screaming at the top of my voice, "WAKE UUUUUUUUUP!" I sloooooowly got up, and I was awake. It felt really strage to wake myself up. It was like pushing myself.

      It was awesome!

I was so happy I did it.

So... you didnt turn him into a peanut butter and jelly sandwitch?

Haha, but Good job though. That brings up a good point; dangerous situations can sometimes prompt people into knowing they are dreaming. It has something to do with denial... perhaps dangerous situations really help lucidity.

I mean when a pink elephant walks through the door you dont acknowledge it. But when a T-Rex is chasing you, sometimes you think "omg, this cannot be real".

You know perj, I was just thinking that. I hope that doesn't mean that I won't get lucid again until the next serious situation.

I became lucid the another night after 'things' were trying to get into the house. I quite often dream about people/things trying to get in through the front door and always just manage to block them from coming in....

I have never become lucid during these dreams, however this time, I went out of the house to confront them (kind of like troll ogre things) all building stuff in my garden.

And then suddenly I realised I was dreaming and before I knew it, I'd woken up!!
This reality is like a goldfish bowl. The dreamworld is the same, but larger. It's easy to get lost.

Now I know what it's like to be lucid. It's definitely wonderfull. For you guys who haven't felt it yet I can tell you with certainty it's worth the wait and training. It took me a month before I got the first one, and at times I lost hope, but kept on going.

Can't wait until the next lucid dream.

I really can't describe the feelings of knowing that I was dreaming, and that I was able to wake myself up. You guys have been doing this for a long time, and might all be the same to you, but it feels the like the first kiss (as Americans say) to me.

I used shake with fear, breath really heavy (I mean very very heavy), and wake up with fear because of some of these dreams. I was over this one with super ease. I was confident when I realized I was dreaming.

Also, I was surprised that I didn't wake up because I was too excited to know. It felt natural to know that I was dreaming. It didn't feel strage to me to be in a dream knowing that it is one.

Now that I think about it, what do think it is? Is that I had lucid experiences before, but I didn't know about them which is what makes this lucid experience natural? Could be just luck that I didn't excited? What is it?
