      Please Help....My Dream

While sleeping I start to dream that I'm waking up. (at least im think im not really awake) I'm always laying in the same position, facing the wall. I start to hear heavy breathing behind me. I try to move and my body is frozen. Then someone or something in a frightening voice says "try to move". By now I'm very scared. I keep my eyes closed (the only thing I can move) and tell myself to wake up. I comfort myself by saying things like "its not real" and "don't worry, you'll wake up soon". I can't tell how long the dream last or if it even is a dream. I really need some help figuring this out. The entire experience is very scary and it always effects me.

      Hi firefly! Welcome to DreamViews!

What you experienced was sleep paralysys with a persistant dream state. You did the right thing by laying there and realizing it was just a dream.

While this is not a usual thing, it is not at all uncommon. Almost everyone experiences sleep paralysis at least once in their lives. Modern man now understands what it is and why it happens. In old times, people thought they were being paralyzed and tormented by spirits.

If you find yourself in this situation again, just go with the flow and see if you can make a lucid dream out of it. When you are in sleep paralysis, you are in a unique position, half dreaming, half awake. It is easy to induce a lucid dream from this state.
you must be the change you wish to see in the world...

      the voice

I have had some very real lucid dreams before but the one I described is different from the rest. The voice I always hear is the most disturbing part. It sounds evil and I only experience it in that dream. I can also feel "something" touch my arm as I'm laying there unable to move. The "dream" hasn't happened in a while but I feel like I should find out more about it before it happens again.
