      Wow...Didn't work.

All right, the lucid dreaming work, but not what my friend persuaded me to do.
My friend said that i would do two simple things:

      *Go to school.
      *Kill everything and everyone.

      Now here's the story:

I don't quite remember what happened first, but i remember saying something like

"When i open my eyes, there will be a door."

Then there was a green door, i said:

"When i go through it, i will come to my school."

I went through the door, came right out to school.
I summoned some guns, but they didn't have triggers.
I said i wanted triggers, and they appeared.
I jumped up in the air and started firing everywhere, at everyone, but it didn't work!
Nothing happened to anyone, then i summoned new guns.
They where round, and flat, so i threw them away, and summoned new:

Instead of that part where the bullets fly out of, there where huge spoons!
Those didn't work either, then i tried to just hit people everywhere, Kung-Fu style.
      Nothing worked, nothing at all!

      Later on, i woke up.

What have i learnt from this?
*You can only do what your subconcious wants.
*My body count is still 0.

I've killed dream characters before and have been able make firearms operate correctly in dreams, but I think it requires that one be performing one's alotted duty. In one instance I dreamt that I was a headquarters clerk when the headquarters was overwhelmed by a Team of Soviet Commandos. We had been expecting an attack and so even the clerks like myself had rifles handy. I was surprised that one of the Soviets, with all of their training, would be caught out in the open and I was able to machine gun him down. Not two seconds went by with me congratulating myself, when a grenade comes in through the window... lobbed in... obviously the Soviet who tossed it in was just outside. Still being very lucky, I caught the grenade in my hand, and flicked it out the window, and was angling toward putting my back to the side of the wall for cover against the explosion, but BOOM! I was caught in the explosion. The grenade had gotten a foot or two out the window and exploded... killing both me and the Russian. Grenades are not the safest of weapons. In the dream, both me and the Russian floated upward in our spirits, and we were smiling, almost laughing that our little battle had freakishly come to a draw.

In a second dream, I was the Chief Guard for a young King during War Time and I was with him while he was inspecting some trenches up at the front. The Battlefield was quiet and I did not anticipate any action. The soldiers were all tired, on both sides, and everyone was in 'live and let live' mode. I noticed a few of the enemy off about 300 yards away, but they had their rifles strapped up and presented no immediate danger. But the King followed my eyes and saw the enemy soldiers and got excited like a child and simply had to take some shots at them with his funny little carbine. He hardly aimed, and the bullets flew away uselessly, except that it alerted the enemy that they were under fire, and they began to ready their rifles to shoot back. I had only a few seconds, and so I dropped to the edge of the berm of sandbags and steadied my rifle and, firing two very deliberate shots, killed both of the distant soldiers.

In both these dreams, the killing was not gratuitious, but was done because the duties and obligations involved required such actions from me. In the second dream, I was even reluctant to shoot, and was somewhat annoyed with the young King for having forced the situation.

Another time I operated a rifle in a dream. I was part of a Commando Team assigned to raid this one enemy installation and my job was to cover for the Team's withdraw to the Landing Zone where they would be picked up by helicopters and flown out. I was to provide cover and then escape and evade as best as I could.

Well, the main team was successful with its target, and causes so much confusion that the enemy were not certain where they went. They were angling off in the wrong direction. From my position, I took a few shots at some of the enemy pursuers, but then thought better of it. Since they were going in the wrong direction, I should simply let them go. My shooting at them might eventually tip them off that the escape route was more in my direction. Anyway, my shots missed, and with any luck, with the shot reports echoing off of various building walls, they would not know which direction they came from. I was able to slink off, and subsequently have perhaps my most important Lucid Dream.

But, again this illustrates that firearms in dreams can work well enough, but only if their use conforms to some actual duty, and even then, with a sense of responsibility and discretion.

Gratuitously mass murdering one's friends for the fun of it probably would not qualify.

Killing is not my goal in lucid dreams, and we'll see if i ever do it.

And how do you manage to have these dreams every night may I ask?
God, grant me the courage the change the things I can, the serenity to accept the things I can't, and the wisdom to know the difference...

They just come naturally, like this:

      I sleep, i dream, i become lucid.
That's just the way it works for me.

This is what I am going to do.

I'm going to thrown a bit of a spiritual intervention into the works so that you two hunters become the hunted. It will be you guys on the receiving end of all the dream blastings and shooting.

      Let the games begin!
