Mmm... I get that as well. With the very few LDs I've had, I didn't really feel like I controlled myself. Then again, when I thought about it I figured that's because I'm recalling what I did. It might be the same for you. You probably did do what you wanted at the time, but when you recall the dream you may come to think that you weren't in control. I'd say either that, or not a high enough level of lucidity. Maybe someone with better experience could answer our question?

Maybe next time you are lucid, Nam3Less, you might remember that you are your mind/unconscious.

There is not some entity in your head controlling your dreams (or anything else). It is just you in there, and if you can fully understand that you are responsible for everything that is going on, you will be one step closer to better control.

The other "step" is to increase your level of self-awareness and memory in the dream. If you are having trouble with control, you might pause for a moment, remind yourself that you are in a dream, and remember that your actual waking-life body is asleep in your bed, right where you left it. If you can gather enough of your waking-life self-awareness and memory, control becomes an afterthought. Why? Because when fully lucid, you know that everything in the dream is of your own creation, and control becomes an afterthought.

Finally, if you expect to be controlled by an independent force (i.e., your mind/unconscious)) you will be.

Sounds like you may have not been completely lucid maybe? Normally when i LD i feel very present and there in the moment, it can be hard for me to control things that are normally out of my control in real life but my own actions and thoughts feel fully in my control.
