Today was a very good day. A segment of my diary 19/10/05

Every afternoon at lunch, between working hours, I make my way to the back seat of my car for a twenty minute power nap. Lying there in the back seat of my car, tucked away in some crazy sortof fetus position, I have the best sleep ever, by far.
Today was a different sortof sleep. Afterwards, I wrote as much of it down as I could remember. Here's what I wrote:

      19 October 2005 - Lucid dreaming

I finally have a name for that strange dream sensation I have when I sleep in the backseat of my car...it's called "Lucid dreaming".
As defined by www.dreamviews.com, lucid dreaming is simply dreaming while being aware that you are dreaming. This awareness can bring with it, a certain level of control within your dreamstate, so the options are absolutely endless. It is quite amazing. Nothing like anything else you could ever imagine. Today, probably for the first time ever, I had my first "controlled" lucid dream. I have had many lucid dreams, without much control, where I just get thrown all over the place, or literally fly from place to place, but today was very, very different. I found I had near perfect control of where I wanted to go and what I wanted to do there. Mind blowing stuff.
What also made it particularly unique today was the fact that every now and again, I would slip out of this dreamstate, back to reality, and then by pure force of will, re-enter this dreamstate. It's the craziest thing. Today my dream went as follows: At some point, I remember floating about 10 to 20 meters above and around my car in the parking lot, and all I wanted to do was fly down towards my car, which suddenly just started happening. It wasn't a direct line straight down, but a very chaotic sort of flying until I finally reached my car. This is where the fun started. I must have automatically, sub-consciously picked up that I had some sort of control over my dream, and I just went looking for women... I couldn't tell you why exactly, but it just seemed to be the first thing that sprung to mind if you'll excuse the pun.
I distictly recall rugby tackling a beautiful, beautiful woman nearby the entrance of the parking lot, and with one swift movement, I ripped off her jeans and underwear and started having sex with her. Actual penetration that I swear I could physically feel. I can't really say it felt like I was raping her, because it wasn't altogether against her will for some strange reason. She sort of just accepted that it was my given right to have sex with her. Shortly thereafter, I found myself talking to another woman...this time it must have been a fantasy friend of mine, 'cos we were talking and laughing, and at some stage I teasingly touched her, upon which she promptly reminded me that her and I don't have sex with one another for some reason that I can't remember anymore, but as she walked away, I flew towards her, and in as swift a movement as my first encounter, I had my arms wrapped around her, and under her blouse, gently rubbing up and down her naked chest...and again, she teasingly reminded me that her and I don't normally have sex with one another, but again, as with the first woman, seemed just as relaxed about the fact that it was my right to do so. It's so funny writing it all down, and re-reading it, but I swear to you, it was the fact that it was controlled and the fact that it felt so physical that made it so unbelievably breathtaking. I finally woke up as my cellular phone's alarm went off, but it was by far one of the most amazing dream experiences I have ever, ever had.
I immediately came to my desk here at work, and started doing research on what sort of strange dreams I've been having most afternoons in the back seat of my car...and then I stumbled upon "lucid dreaming". I think it's fair to say I'm going to do my very best to become an expert... Honestly, despite a reasonably intelligent mind, and a reasonably healthy dose of objectivity towards your typically cliché new-age or spiritual beliefs or theories, I still cannot deny my dream experience in any way whatsoever.
It was controlled, and there was a very physical sensation to the whole thing.
I'm simply blown away by it at this stage.
"Precious few are born with it. Even fewer know what to do with it."

      LMFAO....Awesome....

      Welcome to our world. 8)

First off, don't worry about having to group lucid dreaming with anything new age or...questionable, if you will. Heh. It's something that has always been possible and has been scientifically studied for a long time. It's just one of those things that is spoken of on a relatively small scale.
Oh, and the looking for women on your first lucid dream thing? Heh. You'd be surprised at how common that is.

Welcome to Dream Views, once again, feel free to use the search, start up your journal (which will prove to be a necessity) and ask any and all questions.
