Help I'm a born lucid dreamer xx

I've had a dream that I died in a car crash and my vision went blank, I heard a high pitch ringing in my ears, my whole body went numb and I felt pins and needles all over, then I was just slowly listening to a hard monitor slow down and my hearing was going. Took me fucking ages to wake up and I have never gotten over it! I was a born lucid dreamer and when I was about 5 years old I can remember using lucid dreaming as a child to make dollar coasters every night as I was falling asleep and feeling the sensation, and I would wake up in my dreams every night and fly around my house. Because I didn't understand want lucid dreaming was I struggled when my parents repeatedly told me I didn't fly around the house... Today I have loads of issues with lucid dreaming, I repeatedly shout "wake up wake up wake up" if it's really scary, other time I think I wake up, tell my parents or friends about the lucid dream I just had, then I keep slipping back into the last dream and realise I never woke up! I analyse everything in a dream to make sure I'm dreaming and once everything was so normal that I made the decision that it was real life and when I woke up I thought that real life was a dream. I have a lot of fun with lucid dreaming as well as I can lie in bed and naturally feel any motion or movement I want to and create a scene.. I always fly haha. Being born with it means that I don't know how to control it and sometimes it's exhausting, could u give me some guidance please x

Check out the Dream Control section of the forum; people there have a lot of tips about controlling one's dreams. Dream control is largely a matter of expectation. If you expect to be able to do something in a lucid dream, you usually are able to do it. You might want to start by trying to fulfill specific goals with the dream powers you already know how to use, flying and creating your own dream scene. The Dream Control, Lucid Challenges, and Task of the Month/Year sections of the forum will give you a lot of ideas for other things you can do in your lucid dreams, too.

Apparently, you're a Natural. I found out I'm a Natural too today. (another name is perma-lucid dreamer) Now you know you're not the only one

Hi i have this theory: i think everybody is born LDing but i think this is something you loose because your parents will tell you it is just a dream and for this you loose your trust in yourself. Small children are even LR lucid in reality with their fantasy as parents teach them at a certain age this is not true. they really think they can fly when wearing a superman suit or they really can turn the underside of the table as their home they are still able to project their fantasy in reality. when i was small i also had lots and lots of lucid dreams but this stopped when i started smoking marijuana. now i quit this they are coming back and i started googling the fenomena and then i realised many people have this and you can practice it.

I doubt this is true. I never once had a lucid dream when I was a kid; only started having them in the past 2-3 years.

I honestly find it surprising when someone says they haven't had a lucid dream as a kid. Sometimes I think perhaps it is possible they have had one and they forgot it. But I guess it depends if it is introduced to you or if you figure it out yourself by chance.
