Thread: what a WILD dream

I had posted a while ago about a lucid dream experience where once I began to assert controll everything suddenly stopped and I was knocked into a black void. I had this experience several times, sometimes even just vaguely realizing I was dreaming would cause this. Each time I'd get knocked into the void I would wake up.

But then one time instead of opening my eyes I just looked at the colored lights of hypnogogic images. As I watched these images they seemed to become more and more wild going from a simple EEG looking pattern into dancing waves of color and all of a sudden a dream scene appeared and I was lucid and in full controll.

This happened a few more times sporadically untill the other day I realized that I was prety sure this was a WILD. Usualy the lucidity from these dreams fades prety quickly. I end up trying out one or two things and then I just get distracted by the dream immagery and it procedes as a normal dream.

The other night I had one of these brief WILDS and I tried making a friend of mine appear. The first attempt manifested a mutated mess of a person. Then I tried immagining my friend walking around a corner, which worked much better ( I think her eyes were the wrong color, but the rest was quite close). Later when the dream was no longer lucid I encountered her again (but didn't realize I was dreaming, Doh!).

If anyone has ideas to help keep the lucidity going it would be much appreciated.
