Wow, i don't know what to call this, lucid dream, or not?

Well, after reading through a lot of guides and posts on this forum today, i was pretty tired so i decided to take a nap. I was dead tired, because i hadn't slept the night before. I slept for two hours, from about 3:30pm until 5:30, and i had something i don't know what to categorize as. In my dream, i got a container of ham out of the refrigerator, put it on a plate, and started to eat it, but then my dad offered me a taylor ham sandwich, and i ate that instead. The weird part of this is that i sincerely believed it to be real until just now, 8:10pm, when i thought it over, and confirmed that none of this happened by asking my dad. So, was i lucid dreaming? i never realized i was awake, but i felt 100% awake and making my own decisions.

Im going to try the WILD method tonight, hopefully that will yeild some interesting results.

No to be Lucid you have to realize that youj are 100 percent dreaming. Maybe Next time. But lamentable days, there is often no need for reality check s when you get Lucid, it often comes suddenly and in unexplainably.

This isn't entirely accurate. People have become lucid by remembering to do a reality check in a dream and have gained lucidity from the realization. I still do a reality check when I know for a fact I'm dreaming to train my mind to recognize the feeling of dreams and to trigger more reality checking in future dreams, thereby inducing more lucidity.
