I had my first lucid dream last night. It was kind of weird, i knew i was lucid because i tried the lightsitch trick, and i was going through things. That was one of the problems though, because i didn't feel the dream was that clear, and most of the things i tried to touch either moved away from me or i went right through them. I did manage to turn a random person into someone i know, but the whole thing seemed kind of vague to me. Are lucid dreams something that gets better over time, or do i have to keep trying and concentrate harder? |

Congrats on the breakthrough! Generally speaking, you should get better with practice. Just make sure that you are confident that what you want to happen in the dream WILL happen. Doubt is your biggest enemy in this regard. |

“If you have an apple and I have an apple and we exchange these apples then you and I will still each have one apple. But if you have an idea and I have an idea and we exchange these ideas, then each of us will have two ideas.” (or better yet: three...)

No theory, no ready-made system, no book that has ever been written will save the world. I cleave to no system. I am a true seeker. - Mikhail Bakunin
I have been practicing LD for around 5 years now and every now and then some of my LD are kinda vague. I have even dreamt about LD in regular dreams. Not all LD's will be strong. Usually if I feel I am coming out of a LD, I will close my eyes in the dream and spin around and around, this almost always helps to strenghten my LD and when I reopen my eyes I am usually in a new dream setting! I think your off to a good start! |
