      Failed VILD

Well I tried it. After a while of imagining my scene, my alarm went off and I was like dang. So I kept trying to turn it off and it wouldnt turn off for a long time, thne i was too tired and I went too sleep... It was not until later that I realized I dreamt the whole alarm clock fiasco

      Visually induced lucid dream.

You imagine that when you fall asleep you are going to be in a room with notihng but a door. And on the walls the words "Do a Reality check" are written all over. You go to sleep, then wake up 4 or 5 hours later, and then just think about how you are going to dream this, and just relive the scene over and over again. And eventually you should find you actually are dreaming, and you do the RC and it works, you step out the door and prepare to have fun.

Heh. You make this place sound like a cult.
I'm doubting it has to be exactly the way you said it. Instead, just try a room and, whenever you enter it, do a reality check or have something remind you. For example, someone who just says 'Hi, my name is Reality check. I'm so lucid! Reality check, by the way. And, oh! Don't forget your reality check! Anyways, reality checks are so lucid. I mean, reality check are all about reality, and you have to check them, I like reality check, and you should do one right NOW!"

heh. Just see how it works for you, basically.

Then again, I'm new at this and I've had some random lucids in the past (like most people) without knowing how I got them in the first place. That's why I'm here.

Seems like a very interesting method. I will have to try this one. I had a similar experience, only instead of the alarm clock it was my dog scratching at the window so I would let him in. Strangly enough I never caught on to the fact that A) My dog does not scratch at the window, and B) My dog is dead.
