First Intentional Lucid

A couple years ago I bought a book about self hypnosis and there were a couple sections on dream recall and lucid dreaming. I read through the dream recall section for a few days and thought I was having better dream recall. I decided to read the one on lucid dreaming although I wasnt really sure what it was. I had just heard that you realized you were dreaming while you were dreaming but I hadnt thought about it. After I finished reading the hypnosis part about lucid dreaming I took a nap and realized I was dreaming because the things in my room just looked different. I thought this was pretty cool but was still confused about what was happening, so I decided to pick some stuff up and put it on top of the tv in my room, so I could prove to myself that when I woke up that I was actually dreaming. I thought about what I could do in the dream but soon woke up without actually doing anything. For the past couple months I've been reading more about lucid dreaming and was really fascinated by it. A couple of times I've realized I was dreaming but immediately woke up. This morning I tried the WBTB method and listened to phoenelia's lucidremix mp3. I counted to 300 saying I was dreaming after each number and fell asleep. In my dream I was standing on a London street but was not really sure how I knew it was London (I'm from the US, but have been to there a couple times). I realized that it made no sense that I was in London right away and decided I was dreaming. I had read somewhere about eating in dreams, so I wished I was in a supermarket so I could get something to eat. The dream cut to me inside of a CVS in the refrigerator isle and I opened it up. I grabbed the first thing I could which was strawberry syrup (they dont even keep it in refrigerators in stores, but its in my refrigerator at home). I squirted it in my mouth and was amazed that it tasted so real and that it was actually good by itself because I would never just have the syrup straight up in waking life. I looked around the store and noticed how bright it was and how real it looked and thought it was the coolest thing. Strawberry syrup in hand I ran back out into the streets and there were conference type meetings being held and were roped off. I crouched under the ropes and there were tables set up with cupcakes and strawberries in cupcake holders. I decided to pick up the food and started throwing it at all the people in business suits that were holding the meeting. I got a kick out of this and ran away only to find myself at another conference type meeting with the same food. I decided to keep throwing the food at the people and then they started chasing me. While I was running away I decided that I wanted to meet some people. After trying to get a few peoples attention two girls started running with me and talking to me. We then came up to a huge gap in the road with a huge drop. Across the gap were nice apartments and I told them that was where I was living. I said that we just had to jump across the gap. They told me that this was impossible (the gap was probably 30 to 50 feet). I then woke up and tried to write down as much as I could remember, but I knew I was missing some little things. I remember the feeling while I was dreaming and how cool it was to know that I was dreaming, but was a little disappointed when I woke up because I didnt really do that much. I guess I'll just have to do more in the next one.

Congrats, man. Nice dream. You seemed like you were very comfortable in the lucid state. I think you've got some pretty good ld adventures in Store for you. (no pun intended. 8) )
