      FINALLY!

I FINALLY had one. I wasn't even trying though, I've been so busy the last couple months that I've put my lucid training to the side for now. But a couple days before I did it I was thinking about it. Nothing special, just thinking about how I'd really like to have one and trying to figure out when I would try to get back into the reality check thing and all that. I don't know if I can share anything that might help anyone out. I've been having trouble getting a good sleep for the last couple of weeks because my boyfriend's in the Philippines and I have really hard time sleeping without him. I've been walking around like a zombie, so one night I decided to drink a little wine and take a sleeping pill early in the night, and I ended up going to bed really early. I don't know if it's because I had a night with a lot of sleep where I was completely knocked out or what, but something worked. Maybe taking a break from constantly thinking about it helped, who knows. It was great though, I did like 3 reality checks in the dream.

I was thinking maybe it was because of what the dream was about. My two cousins walked into my house but they were like 6 and 8 years old, (they're actually 19 and 21). So I started freaking out because they were little children (I was almost scared because it felt so real and I thought I was in the twilight zone or something). And then I started saying "this can't be real, what the hell is going on, what's happening?" And then it just hit me, I'm dreaming. So I tried turning two lights on (which didn't turn on) and looked at a clock and made the numbers all jumbled up and I knew I was dreaming. Then I took a step back, ran across the living room and jumped through a window PRAYING I was dreaming. I remember flying for a while and seeing nothing but a kind of white light around me, almost like going through a tunnel. I was telling myself to concentrate because I wanted to land and create a really cool scene when I landed. I remember landing but then I don't remember anything after that.

It was a pretty basic dream, but I wish I knew what triggered it. Maybe the shock of seeing my cousins so young? But crazy stuff ALWAYS happens in dreams and we just tend to accept it. Why did I recognize it this time?

      Any ideas?

      Congratulations, Kichu.

I think it had a lot to do with getting more sleep. I haven't been getting a lot of sleep lately, either, and when I don't, my dream recall is always the most fragmented, and I hardly ever lucid dream. When I get a good sleep, my dreams are always much more vivid, seem to last longer, and I stand a much better chance of getting lucid.

      Many more to ya!

You think? I guess maybe because I'm rested and that allows my mind to be more clear or something? I was thinking it had more to do with the severity of shock I experienced in the dream. Actually, I'm really surprised it happened at all because of the wine and the sleeping pill. Wouldn't that actually make the mind a little cloudier?

Aaaaaghhhhhhh!!! So many possibilties. Who knows.
