Yo. I leech here often... never post anything

Anyway, so this weird thing happened to me a couple of weeks ago. It was morning, about 7:00 a.m. and I had woken up and immediately gone back to sleep. When I started dreaming, I was still in bed and I fell asleep *again* (this is all dream recall, so I didn't know that I fell asleep in the dream at the time) and the dreamscape was at my school. This was a non-lucid dream, I sort of glided along through the day as usual, but it was pretty absurdiss and "jumpy" and I was very soon at home and in my bed. So I fell asleep again, inside this non-lucid dream. And I woke up again (I am still inside my non-lucid dream), and I did my usual morning reality check and my finger goes through my palm and I quietly celebrate and walk downstairs and check everything out, my mom is there making breakfast, her boyfriend is chillin' on the couch, then all of the sudden everything was going black... so I was like shit, and spun around, and I was back at school and my lucidity faded very fast. So I did the same thing again as I did in my last non-lucid dream and I end up back in bed and I fall asleep and I wake up but, I just wake up in ANOTHER non-lucid dream! I get up, go downstairs and it's the EXACT same thing, my mom is doing the exact same thing, her boyfriend is doing the exact same thing, and then that lasted for about 30 seconds as an estimate, and I wake up, this time in reality.

So this is all pretty weird to me. I woke up extremely dumbfounded, my proprioceptive awareness of my whole body was sort of messed up, and I had to look under the sheets to see if my body was still attached; it took me about 20-30 seconds just to get a sense of where I was.

This is an entertaining little story, but question come to mind... What are the limits of consciousness? How many successions of dreams within dreams can the mind handle? Infinity? Five? Non-Lucid Dream within a Lucid Dream within a Non-Lucid Dream within a Lucid-Dream...
