First Lucid dream, first night I tried

Last night about an hour before I went to bed I came across this site. I'd sorta heard about lucid dreaming before, but i'd never really tried it out. I didn't really expect much to happen, I didn't even expect it to be something you could take control of but I thought I would give it a shot.

So anyway I go to sleep, did all the things in the guide (went to sleep about 3.30am) and at about 7, I had some dream that I was just watching tv, then suddenly realised it wasn't real. Nothing really happened to set it off, it just happened. But I wasn't really prepared for it and woke up quite quickly. I wrote down what i'd dreamt about and quite quickly fell asleep again. woke up again at about 10, but couldnt remember dreaming of anything, I was tempted to get up but decided to just rest for a few minutes. I fell back asleep, and the same thing happened as earlier, except this time I was prepared. I calmed myself and looked at my surroundings. I musn't have been 'fully' lucid because I still found some things that should have been strange normal.

I had fairly good control over what was happening, allthough some of the things I chose to do were a bit stupid "Oh Ill turn into a dog and fly around the room" (I think i did that because it was an example of not finding something weird in the guide) and randomly shooting lazer beams out my hand. But after that I managed floating and slow flying. I nearly woke up at one point but tried spinning and I stayed lucid, I did some more for a while then eventually woke up and was all WOWZER!!

I've noticed whenever I've had WILD's , it was when i fell assleep with a noise in the background distracting me.
For example, one night i was falling asleep beside a friend who was snoring REALLY loudly.. i guess i was concentrating on the snoring so much, i fell asleep thinking about it, and as soon as the snoring stopped I thought to myself .. thats not right.. and there i was in my dream.. I wasnt even sure if i was dreaming so i woke myself up, and there was the snoring.. back and loud again.. i must have had 5 or 6 WILD's in a row..
Music might work well too, or.. well you get the point. Lemme know how it goes?
