      Self Awakening, And More

Well, I can lucidly dream. However, I am not good at it. I need some tips and pointers for a beginner. And soon would be nice. It's 10:48 P.M. right now, and I've picked up a few LD tips and I will try them, but more would be nice. Anyways...

The one thing I notice when I am dreaming, is that if it's a bad dream, either nightmare or just plain boring, I am immediately aware of it. And if I don't like the setting, what is happening, or if it is just too scary for my tastes, I close my eyes as hard as I can (in-dream), then open them as fast as I can, to be greeted by my black room. I'm awake again, and it's peaceful...

But, that's not it. I remember when I was young... probably 8 or 9 years ago, I was dreaming about being on a dinosaur expedition. I remember seeing real dinosaurs and everything... Although, when I was woken up, I was rather disappointed. So, I went back to sleep. Amazingly, my dream continued right where it left off! I had woken up again, and decided to go back to sleep, to be back at where my dream had once again left off. This happened four or five times that morning before I actually got up. My question is... If I managed to do this then, is it entirely possible to do it always? For example, if I were dreaming about robbing a bank, we robbed the bank, and got outside to be greeted by 100 cops with guns blazing, I would naturally wake myself up. However, I would wake up and wish that I'd continued it, to see how it would play out. So, going back to sleep and starting the dream from where I woke up would be a nice benefit.

Edit: This is entirely off topic, but maybe someone has the answer =P Sometimes after I smoke some marijuana, I just sit back, close my eyes, and relax. At that moment, my stomach feels like it is soaring. Ever go over a bridge in a car, and it feels like your stomach is suspended in mid-air for a few seconds? Well, imagine that, except it lasts until you open your eyes again. Is this in any way related to dreaming? And if not, anyone have an explanation anyways?

maybe its possible to re-enter a dream one has left off, but i'm not sure. i have a friend who can sometimes re-enter a pleasurable dream when she wants.

as far as the sensation, i don't think its really related to dreaming. i've found if i smoke up my body often feels similar to when i'm falling asleep (if i close my eyes), and that its easier to get my body to the state bordering on sleep paralysis.

however, i also found its much harder to do quality dreamwork when i smoke. ..

Well that's a disappointment that it somewhat hinders your dreams. Maybe that's why I never have any. Erm... Remember* any.

Reentering dreams is well possible but I guess not exclusively with a 100% success rate. You can train it and you will see how it turns out for you. It's the same as always with dreams... imagine and believe and it should bring you to where you want.
I've had several dreams that continued after an awakening. With WILD it's even easier to get back into a dream, but you can also try with MILD. Or without any technique / non-lucid.
About pot, yes for most it's no good in relation to dreamwork. When I smoke I usually don't remember anything for the whole night. I think that really sucks and it made me smoke a lot less, only a couple of times a year. Although I agree with Asher: sometimes I will get crazy HI or some other closed-eye halluscinations without even having to relax and border-sleep states are also a bit better to achieve.
But I don't recommend smoking pot at all if you're a bit serious about LDing. It can hinder your process dramatically. For some, however, it doesn't change much with the recall, quite the opposite, their dreams will be more vivid and longer and their LDs will be better with the high-feeling taken over into the dream world.
I don't know about your stomach thing though. Maybe you can go and see a doctor about it.
