      Alright, I am convinced

Now, I am starting to become angry with myself. I was dreaming last night and my friend, Joe, died of a drug overdose. then i went to school, and Ray, another friend of mine, started a fight with me. But when i tried to punch him several times in the face, i could not move normally. it was as if i was fighting underwater. but ray had no trouble at all striking me in the face. when i saw my blood, which was not a normal red, i said this is a dream, but as soon as it came it was gone. his fist came back with another strike, which made me lose focus and become frightened for my life. does anyone have any suggestions at all that would make me remember that i am dreaming even if anything drastic happens? this is the third near-complete lucid dream that i have had, and i am becoming very frustrated. i am going to try a WILD tonight, and i am convinced that I WILL become lucid. if i fail, i will try the WILD technique, hopefully, until it works. any advise on staying focused would be GREATLY appreciated. thank you all.
Have a WONDERFUL day, and when you're done, have a GREAT night's sleep. (and i hope you still think im as cute as a button)

Well in that situation, there isn't much you could do...He striked at you right when you went lucid so you couldn't fight back in time, and lost your focus. But in a normal situation just look at your hands or spin.

*off topic*Oh yeah, remember me? I just noticed it was you.Well forgive and forget is my motto.
      You guys suck.

alright, could we please drop that. do you know what forgive and forget means? it seems like you understand the forgiving part but not the forgetting part, since you keep bringing it up. so drop it. i said i was sorry, and you accepted my appoligy. so, could we now forgive AND forget, or are you going to keep bringing that misunderstanding up? now, getting back to the main subject, does anyone have any advise on staying lucid in my dreams?

P.S. thank you for your suggestion ffx-dreamz, but please don't bring up the past.

      humble advice

Well, friend, the only thing I can say is that I now use those scary situations as a dreamsign. If something really bad is happening to me, I always ask myself if it could be a dream. I always sort of hope it is but sometimes it's not. Or sometimes I convince myself it's not and deal with the immediate consequences not remembering it's a dream. Your situation was tough. I guess if someone knocked my unlucid with their fist, I would probably just run upon first instinct. You could practice clearing your mind and then imagining that type of scenario (something that might catch you off gaurd and frighten you) and try to deal with it sort of daydream status. If you know what I mean. To give your subconscious reinforcements in battling these sorts of things. Or perhaps try inducing similar scenarios and just practicing staying lucid during them, constantly reminding yourself to stay calm, it's a dream. Just a few ideas. Hope I said something useful.

      I hate when this happens.

Your back! how was your vacation from the site? Have you become lucid since you posted last?

Lowercase, thank you for the warm re-welcome. I never had this type of dream, before this one. But I believe that I had it, because my brother had just told me about how he had always had these. So, I believe, my subconscious was playing a role in all of this. And this was a terrible dream to have, so I give to you, my, remorse.

There were only two others. One said, "I had another partial lucid dream a few days ago. It started with me getting out of bed and going into my bathroom to look at myself in the mirror. When I saw my reflection, I saw that I had greenish brown hair. I must inform you all that I shaved my head in the beginning of January, and my natural hair color is red. After I started to feel and slightly tug at my new hair, I asked myself, "Why does my hair look like this?" So I began to think that I was dreaming, but I was not sure. And then I took another look in the mirror and the hair was still there, which made me forget lucidity (because it just looked so strange.)"

And I had another which, I believe, I posted, "I would just like to tell everyone that i have made so progress in the lucidity department. I have recently been dreaming that I was at my school, and I have finally been able to realize I was dreaming. But as soon as it came, it drew away. I woke up, and tried to go back to this new dreaming experiance. But as we all know, I failed. Sorry to disappoit you. And so I must once again leave your presence. I'll still be watching you, though. "

But other than thes three, I have not had any lucid dreams. But in the past three days, I have had nine in total (three each night). I think its because I have not done any drus lately, and I am ill so I have been in bed alot. Getting better though.
