First WILD and 2 lucid dreams in 3 days

Hello everyone! I'm new here, I decided to join after having 2 lucid experiences in 3 days because I just had to tell someone.

The first happened Sunday. I had to wake up early for breakfast and when I came home an hour later I was still very sleepy so I decided to go back to bed. In my dream I was riding on top of an ore cart carrying two submachine guns. At this point I was looking at myself from outside my body. I heard the sounds of the guns being cocked and when I did I thought to myself "That's a stock sound effect they use in video games." At this point I went into my body and became aware that I was in a dream. I was still riding on the ore cart, which stopped at a large doorway. I decided I was going to leap in there Max Payne-style, so I pushed off the ground and mid jump I thought "I can float." And I did. Then I very foolishly thought I can use my powers of flight to induce an OBE. I started floating up, rocking hard back and forth, but I only succeeded in waking myself up.

Since then I started reading up on lucid dreaming and practicing MILD.

Last night I found myself on an empty schoolbus. I went to the seat directly behind the driver and found that no one was there. I got worried because the bus was going down a big hill, but when I looked closer the wheel and pedals were moving by themselves, guiding the bus perfectly. I thought "I'm not even going to ask why this bus is driving itself" and sat back in my seat. One moment later I thought "Busses don't drive themselves! This is a dream!" I got up and walked to the middle of the bus. Afraid I would wake up soon I tried the spinning technique which worked to an extent, things did get blurry. Unfortunately, the spinning reminded me of a dirvesh and a was somehow sucked out of lucidity and into a dream where I was in a Middle Eastern marketplace. Don't remember much about that one.

If anyone is still reading after that exhaustingly long account, thanks for listening. I was also curious if anyone else has been brought to lucidity by a sound rather than a visual cue?
Tonight's the night. And it's going to happen again, and again. It has to happen.

Didn't feel this was worth starting a new thread over so no one may read this, but at least I'll have it written down.

I just had two very frustrating lucid dreams. In the first I was walking around outside on my family's farm and I found my pistol outside. I thought "Why did I leave this here?" and picked it up to take home. As I'm walking up the hill I see a police officer at the top patrolling around. I think that I'd better not walk past him with the gun, so I turn around. I'm walking away and I think "Why is a cop patrolling the farm? Is this a dream?" Sure enough, it was. I tried to do a bit of flying but it was difficult. I don't remember much else, I wasn't truly lucid for very long.

At some point I woke up and then got right back to sleep, concentrating on lucidity again. I found myself in the room I'm in now. Sunlight from the window bright on the floor. I remember that most of all. I was looking down at it staring at my hands, trying to concentrate. The vividness was amazing, I thought "I can't wait to write this on the forum." And things kinda went downhill from there. I tried some magic, shooting fireballs from my hands and I found I couldn't do it. I tried to create a character and it wouldn't work. After this, I flew outside and began to destroy a bunch of tall buildings.

If this sounds disjointed, that's because it was. I was slipping in and out of lucidity the whole time, and I can only assume (and hope) that this was the reason for my poor control. I did at least have two distict moments that I was sure I was lucid, so that's progress. BTW The looking at my hands thing did help, I saw that on here somewhere, don't remember who said it but thanks!

Sounds like you're definitely getting the hang of it. It's an exciting new world; have fun exploring and mastering it!
I've been doing it since I was a little kid, but I still have not "mastered" it at all. Becoming lucid is the easy part for me, but making things appear and being able to do magic is rare for me. I think I have trouble disconnecting myself from the real world and its physical laws. Most of the time, if I become lucid inside a dream-building, I have to find a door or a window to the outside! For some reason, walls in my dreams are just as hard as walls in reality.
I talk about this all the time, but really explore the spinning technique. It's been the most valuable tool for me through the years in maintaining lucidity when I feel a dream fading. For me, it always produces a new dream-scene. Take care!!
