      seems backward....

ok, this kinda seems backward, when ever I've had an LD, I've just suddenley reaized I'm dreaming, it's never happend under extreme circumstances, just not so odd situations, or absolute normal things. For example, one time, I 'woke up' in my dream, and walked out to my living room, and anoucned that was dreaming, nothing was abnormal. but, last night I had a dream where I was flying over down town seattle in a hover car, diving out occasionally, and hoping back in! it's strange, it's like my rational thinking is reversed, I accept the absurd, and question the normal. your opinions on this please.

Somehow it seems flying is the first LD many try. In some cases I think some of us that LD regularly need a reminder of how to do the simple. If you have never flyed before in a LD try it. In your case it could be as simple as leaving a comfort zone. You said you LD about your home surroundings. Lding goes so far beyond that. Its time you let yourself explore the unknown. Don't confine yourself in a household.

I am the same way. Usually I become lucid as a result of a dream character saying something "out of character", instead of the fact that I am running around a mall shooting people with my laser cannon, or riding a giant tiger through the jungle.

      Welcome, supra guy!

I don't think it's that unusual. I'm the same way. Most of my lucids happen when I suddenly get that "feeling" of being in a dream, even if the situation is quite ordinary. I think maybe it's because when you are in, as you say, extreme circumstances, your mind is too busy processing things to take the time to really analyze the possibilities.

hmm, yea that kinda makes sense, thanks guys. @ravenqueen: that was just one example, one time I was on a sky scraper, one time at the beach, one time flying a space ship... but yea, I would like to try flying, that would be awesome.
