This time I think it was more than just a lucid dream...

Had what seemed like a REAL OOBE. I layed down after waking. I was sort of half awake. I thought about trying an OOBE again. It took what seemed like a long time. Finally I was able to leave my body. After I came out and floated back down to my body. I was not inside it though, I was just in the same space as it. I could feel the warmth from it. That was strange because I never feel heat or lack of in dreams. I flew up the stairs and went through the kitchen and into the living room. I then decided to go outside for a second. I felt the cold from the winter when I went out. It was really cool. I went back inside and flew through a couple rooms. Also, I am in a duplex so I flew into the neighbors house. It was dark inside and no one was home. It was also dark inside my house. Anyways, I decided to go back to my body and within a second I was back then woke up in another. I went to check and found that it was dark and no one was home at either house. Was strange that it was like real life and not a dream. By that I mean things were consistant. Nothing was out of the ordinary except for me floating around, lol. I should try and OOBE when there is light out so I can go explore outside. Anyways, it was so cool. I think I may have actually left my body. Not just a dream.

Well, for the past month or so I have been trying. I only try it as I wake up. It is that point when you are about to wake up and are paralized. Like I sometimes wake up too early and my body is not yet ready. At that point I often try an OOBE.

Crucible that amazing man. Congrats for sure.. I've had lots of OB's but none have I ever felt any sensations like Hot, cold, or even wind once im flying.. I wanna tap into my senses on that level. Great work man whenever you get another let us know again and try to check the time the next time you do it then bring yourself back to the waking world the moment you capture the time. Thats going to really freak you out like it did me the first time I saw that the time was merely a minute ahead.

      That is so cool!!!!

Hey, where can I find some sort of tutorial about OOBE's? Or what does one basically have to do to try one?
      If I hadn't made me
I'd be more inclined to bow
Powers that be would have swallowed me up
But that's more than I can allow...

that is fantastic, grats on the OOBE. Sounds like the one where you can actually do remote viewing. I like the part about feeling the cold when you were out of your body. Once I had an OOBE, I was outside and I felt the rain going through me, it was the trippiest sensation. Keep it up! Lots more exciting journeys to go. My best journey I flew up out of my body, out of the house, in the sky and headed into the stars. Zoomed through the stars like warp speed and ended up in the middle of this beautiful nebula and zillions of stars everywhere. I could actually feel the emptiness of space. The possibilities are endless.

Truthbearer: In regards to a tutorial on OOBE's, Robert Monroe wrote some good books on the topic and even made some tapes on it as well. I've read alot and experimented alot on different methods. The best one in my mind does this:

      - Wake up at like 4-5 am in the morning after a good sleep.
      - Stay up for like 1 hour - 1.25 hours reading a book
      - Your mind is still awake, but body is still asleep
      - While you are reading, like every 5 minutes stare intensely at your hands
      - The lie down, take one long stare at your hands, turn the lights out, and try to mentally see your hands
      - While you are lying down just focus on the image of your hands and concentrate on breathing

The key is to turn off your mind and thoughts and just really really become in tune with your body, especially your solar plexus. With me, next step I feel a buzzing in my stomach, and i feel myself lifting out of my body. Since I have the image of my hand in my focus, I see my hands and start moving out. Then I just go wherever, float through the ceiling or go down the hallway out the door.

Wow, that seems really intense...I'm gonna have to try that...

BTW, how many hours of sleep should I get before I try that?

Well, I sleep a good 10-12 hours. Sometimes I sleep even more. Maybe that is why I have several lucid dreams just about every day.

That sounds really cool. Could you tell if it was an OOBE within a dream, or a projection to the outside world in real time? Did the external references look normal?

Either way, it sounds awesome. I mean, flying is good enough for me...
