29th LD (Searching For My Dream Guide)

Hey ladies and Gentlemen...well this morning i had my 29th LD since joining in June 2005...I had gotten woken up at this half way house im at by my roommates alarm at 5am and fell back to sleep....

      [ Dream ]

I had ended up at my job..(i dishwash at a restaraunt connected to a days inn hotel} but everything seemed different..I dont think i did an RC i just told myself "This is a dream" I walked around the dish pit for a few seconds and i decided to pick up an object..and boy, did it feel real...after that i remembered my new goal for my Lucid Dreams...finding my dream guide...so i said "I want my D.G. to appear"

Nothing happened.......so i stated again "Where is my dream guide?"

Nothing happened again...So finally i shouted at the top of my lungs "I WANT MY DREAM GUIDE TO APPEAR!!"

And i turned around..and i saw something like standing on a metal table..for a split second it was in a shape of a wolf, then for some reason it changed..(i may have lost lucidity turning around} but im not quite sure, because a few seconds later i felt my dream slipping and i started to dream spin, stating to myself....

"Im still dreaming...after im done spinning i'll still be in a dream"

So after i stopped spinning i was back in bed.. ....I plugged my nose, and i could breath through it ...I was still dreaming..i had gotten up..and started to walk and totally lost lucidity and ended up somewhere outside, and i told this guy to touch this one object that was by us...and im like "You feel that....That's how real it can feel in a Lucid Dream!!!!" later...i woke up....

      [ End of Dream]

okay that dream was cool and all, because im getting somewhere on my journey on finding my DG, but its like....how come when i called for my DG, it appeared funny looking and didn't move or nothing like that??? Was it not my DG?

I'm just curious on how i can pick the phoniess out of the things that appear infront of me-even when i call for a certain thing---so i can be for sure, about my DG....Because i didnt even communicate with the thing and it looked odd...

Any suggestions on how i can find my DG and how to KNOW if i have found it??

      thanks...

      DJ Jones

The only way to find your dream guide and know you've found your dream guide, is to know that you're going to find your dream guide, and know that you've found your dream guide. i'm serious.

personally, i view a dream guide as an entity (real or imagined) who can guide one through the process of self-exploration.

one doesn't hire a guide to take them on a hike through familiar terrain they can navigate with ease. only for the unknown.

if an entity can show you unknown aspects of your inner terrain which you realize afterwards you have assimilated as 'real', and have expanded your being, then that qualifies as a dream guide to me. a DG and its guidance are 'real' only if you feel them to be 'real'.

      it is ultimately your call...

incidentally, i half-heartedly asked my subconscious to manifest a dream guide yesterday. in one of my dreams i encountered a clone of myself at the beginning of a lucid. we started fly off together, and then it was only myself again.
i became lucid for the first time when i saw my clone as well...

though neither time did my double impart anything profound.

      hey

thanks for the post, i read something on ld4all.com that someone found his dreamguide by calling out" I cant to see my dream guide" and he had a conversation with her after turning around and see her, and he woke up and drew a picture of his DG...and i think Black Dragon here said he has found his DG and he says his DG is the same through his LD's and likes to change into a dragon...so im wondering if i will have a SOLID for sure DG or is there going to be something wicked about it?

Did you mean me? (In which case, I'm a girl!)

Anyway, I'm glad you're having success with the lucidity. Keep it up and good luck!

Asher has pretty much hit the nail on the head. Your evaluation and your evaluation alone is what counts.

If I were you, I'd try what you did again and see what happens next time, as it seemed to get results. Don't necessarily hope for a wolf again though - keep yourself open. Your feelings towards whatever you end up with are probably more important than anything it actually says or looks like. If it's inanimate, or you don't feel a personality there, chances are it isn't your DG.

This is a very personal adventure though and ultimately it's all down to you and your interpretation.

P.S. Do you morph into a wolf at all? While I'm usually human, a grey dragon is my favourite form. My dream guide is human when I am, or a black dragon when I'm in my favourite shape.
