      Yes! I get to say it this time

      I got lucid for the first time this morning

      I was downstairs, thinking I still hadn't fallen asleep after going back to bed at 8:00 am.
      It wasn't a False Awakening or anything, cause I didn't wake up in my dream, I was just standing there. Anyway, I went downstairs and some weird things happened. But then I suddenly saw my mom come home. knowing my mom is on a vacation in France atm, I said to my dad: wtf is mom doing here? to which he replied: she's not here...
      At that point, I first thought I was hallucinating, and at that point I suddenly realized I had to be dreaming. I then pinched my nose, but I kept breathing, even when I tried to pinch harder. I then felt my heart nearly pounding out of my chest and realized I would wake up soon. I tried thinking about what to do to prevent losing this dream, but couldn't think of what it was >.>
      So like most people, my first LD lasted for about 5 seconds ^.^

      Remember, in your dreams Everything is subject to your own anticipations. If you feel that your dream is going to be over soon because you got lucid, you don't stand a chance of having a long one. The most important thing about inducing and influencing lucid dreams is to stay in a postive, confident frame of mind. I know it's a lot easier said than done, but definitely something you want to keep in mind at all times.

      Thanks , I guess you're right. I still would've liked to try the hand rubbing thing or something though.

      Congrats! Your first LD was better than mine! Mine was more along the line of POINT 5 seconds... haha.
      need to actually start like trying to LD i've pretty much started that now kinda.

      Hah, had my 2nd this morning. I was able to stay lucid but seeing as I hadn't read your post yet and ended up being in a prison on an island, I wasn't able to summon any chicks and/or party.
      I did manage to tame a whale to take me to the shore and grow gills to breathe underwater though. ^.^
