      Was it lucid?

After doing a HILD I went to bed later that night and I had 2 distict dreams. One involved my "street" which had all different houses and this guy... who wanted me at his house for some reason blah blah its not important. The important one is this one. I was at my tennis clubhouse and I dont know how but I realised i was dreaming and said to myself: I am dreaming! I did a RC and I breathed. All of a sudden this strange feeling went over me and the dream get ever so more realistic. I swear to god I had control. I then had an FA and told my mum i just had a lucid dream! Then i swapped dreams to the one above. 2 questions.
Is that three dreams? (cause of the FA) and is that a lucid? Or just dreaming that im lucid dreaming?

P.S. Lucid or not.... I LOVE HILD!!!
need to actually start like trying to LD i've pretty much started that now kinda.

Does it matter? What you had, was whatever it was, what does it matter if we can put a word to it or not.

      Re: Was it lucid?

First, CONGRATULATIONS on you first Lucid Dream. :bravo:

Keeping score can get a little tricky sometimes. You had a lucid dream, then a false awakening. I would count that as one dream that was both lucid and normal. The other one about your street you could count as a separate dream. I assume you are trying to keep some kind of count for your dream journal.

I personally don’t keep a count of my normal dreams. I just note whether my dream recall is up or down. But I always “count” the LDs!!

I am quite sure that your dream was indeed a lucid one. Sometimes dreams are tricky, and attaining lucidity, even for a moment, is difficult. It is a great accomplishment, none the less.

      Congratulations, Jerkyman.
      That was your first LD.

Yeah, it's hard keeping score when you're dealing with FA's. I just call them what they are, because for me, they usually end within the first minute or so. On the rare chance they lead off into another long dream scenario, I'll call them two dreams, but note the FA.

      Congrats again. Keep it up.
