      Another "My First Lucid Dream" Topic

      Just had my very first lucid dream last night. I was standing around talking to people near me and all of a sudden I said out loud, "I'm not awake. I'm dreaming!". I then remember punching the people that were around me and soon after, my alarm went off and I got up to go to work

      Update: I just started a dream journal

      Hey congrats, Naz!

      Well, you certainly were lucid. Sucks about the alarm, though. Do you think if the alarm hadn't gone off you would have remained lucid?

      Not sure what the hostility in the dream was all about - maybe gettin out some frustration? Lucids are definitely a great place to do that, however, next time I'd recommend taking your time and interacting with your environment, including dream characters. Keeping your mind involved in the dream will extend your lucidity and possibly even increase the reality and vividness of it.

      Keep at it, and resist the urge to slack off on the journal!
