That was the WILD est thing that has happened to me!

      WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, finally after 3 months of trying every night, a WILD!

I don't know if it was a reaction to the all the crap that is going on right now in my life or what.

Anyway, went to bed at 10 last night, physically, mentally, emotionally, totally exhausted. I slept a solid 8 hours, not done that in a while.
I awoke at 6 for a pee break. On my way back to bed, I was thinking, "I am so awake, I'll never get back to sleep. Oh well, I can always to try WILD. As if it will do any good..."

Layed down and began to relax. Was on my stomach, not right side or back as the book says.
I caught myself having hypno imagery of using giant marshmellows as hackie-sacks(sp?).

      Whoa, I'd better start counting.

1- I'm dreaming, 2-I'm dreaming. Hmm... my attention was taken by a beautiful orange butterfly, just sitting and flexing it's wings slowly.
Still counting... 8-I'm dreaming.. This time!!! yes, it's gonna work!!
      9-I'm dreaming, calm, stay calm.
      .... 16-I'm dreaming.

Everything snapped into place!!! WOOT...whoa, calm down.

This is a high level dream! Very clear, extremely vivid.

Whoosh, took off for some power flying. God, I love to fly!!!

"Well, guess I shouldn't waste it on just flying". I paused and hovered about 50 feet off the ground. "Time to call a friend"

I began focusing my chi and began to shout "Ell..." CRASH!!!

Ouch, that hurt. Guess I cannot focus my chi and fly at the same time.
Anyway safely on the ground, I focussed and called my friend again.

"Oh well, that didn't work. Time to find a mirror!"

I walked over to a house and they had a mirror in the window, go figure.
I sensed a presence standing beside me. Couldn't see them, but I sensed their spirit, someone I know, but not sure who.

I saw my reflection and began focussing on face, changing my appearance, I made myself younger, all the way back to my early teenage years.

Then I decided on working on body. As I began to focus, the dream suddenly faded, in about 1 second.

I was awake and my wife was turning over in bed...

Oh well, it was only 10 minutes, but hey. I'm tickled to death by it.

Anyone remember the catholic school girl played by Molly Shanon on saturday night live?

I feel like jumping, posing and shouting like she does: "FIRST WILD!!!!"

haha, "Super Star!" Good work Seeker, congrats! Sounds like you had quite a good time. I'm still trying to get my first real WILD. I am very interested about that spirit you talked about. It would be really cool if you could meet with it! Well, congrats again Seeker

Wow man that is soo cool! You are quite an inspiration... never give up trying WILD.. even if it takes you months, that 10 minute experience makes it all worth it.

I woke up at 6:00 a.m. to try but I felt very rested and couldn't relax back into sleep. Every day Im trying... I'm a little bummed because lately my dreams have been really weird.. and I can't get lucid. Could be because my life is totally crazy busy and overstimulated. Can't wait for summer. That's my slow down time for sure.

Again, thanks for sharing. Your story is inspiring.

Did you feel sleep paralisation, or a weight on you, or a vortex like I did?

The sleep paralysis came first. I experienced a little bit of a rollercoaster feeling that left me in paralysis. I then almost lost conciousness while watching the imagery, but fortunately caught myself in time and started counting.

It was close since I only got to 16 before becoming lucid! Another few seconds and I would have been in a non-lucid dream.

Almost pulled off another one this morning! Was watching a small gear that would rock back and forth to the beating of my heart. Was into the counting and starting to merge, but my wife stirred and I lost it.

Don't know if you guys have felt this or not, but if I am on my stomach, the vortex and rollercoaster effects are MUCH milder.

Also, I cannot sleep on my back, think that was probably most of my problem.

Oh well, can't wait for tonight to try again.

      I love the vortex.

It takes a split secccond but it also takes years.

Yeah, I was remembering it today. It wasn't anything voilent, just a nice pleasant sinking feeling, kind of like you get when riding an elevator.

When it stopped at the ground floor, whammy, I was in the dream!

Another near WILD last night, unfortunately, my wife was having sinus problems and it kept jarring me back to full wakefulness.

I tried to pull 2 wilds over the weekend. Got the shocks and paralyses 2 times! ( I got the shock things 5 or 6 times, though...) It felt really cool, and I'm ready to try again!!

Tonight I had an onset of WILD... I didnt tried to induce it or anything.
I felt everything as usual, exept I KNEW there was *something* scary standing behind me... this kinda freaked me out and I had real trouble "going with the flow"...
