I found the best way to control the content of your dreams before you sleep is to just lay in bed for about an hour thinking of nothing but what you want to dream about, and play it through in your head a few times. |

Years ago when I tried to see something in my dreams I started imagining things before I went to sleep.... For example.... when I wanted to see an adventure dreem started imagining stories that had a adventure nature. But this does not help so much. Is there any other way to control what you see before you go to sleep. I am asking something like programming your dreams. |

As I never had much luck preprograming dreams I try to spend that short time before going off to sleep reminding myself that the goal is to become lucid in the dream and if that happens one might be able to direct the dream to the content that one wants to experience in a dream. Good luck in any event!! |

It's called dream incubation, what you're doing. And I find that it does work to instill visualizations and feelings that help you actually dream about that particular thing. |
