      weird

I am trying to get back into lucid dreaming after having a period in my life where I was too busy to even think about Ld'ing. Anyways last night convinced me I need to really start a new dream journal, ect, ect. I was having an intense dream, the dream was scaring me bad, I'm having this dream and I'm like this isn't real WAKE UP! WAKE UP! My eyes open and they are twiching back and forth like crazy and my dream scene took a couple seconds to "melt" into my bedroom and I was covered in sweat. This is the first time I went lucid for a split second in a nightmare to wake myself up. The oddest part were my eyes twiching for about 2-3 seconds (felt like 30), I must of been in full REM.

Anyways I'm back into lucid dreaming for sure and look foward to being active on the site.

what you described with the eye-twitching has happened to me once before...i was abruptly awakened by my brother and sat up suddenly with my eyes wide opening and switching from side to side very rapidly. i don't have a very clear memory of this other than a feeling of the room spinning around me. i think it's like you said--REM not having been deactivated.

yeah it sucks I can't really remember the actual dream. I do remember being so frightened I wanted to wake up right that second no matter what. And my eyes were going from left to right also. I guess my will overpowered and it took a second for my subconscious (or conscious?) mind to catch up....but for that second or two I felt almost zen with amazement that I was waking up...
