      First Time Lucid....cool

I read numorus faqs about lucidity. I am only 15 and i am very interested in this. Anyways I followed the steps of MILD and also did that one thing where you say i will wake up 15 minutes before my alarm (6:30am) and completly recall my dream. Well i didnt experience lucidity, but after i was dreaming i heard my self say "i will wake up 15 minutes before my alarm" and i woke my self and i looked over and it was 18 minutes before 6:30 !!! The next night i read on the lucidty faq that first timers might get excited and wake and the best way to counter is spinning in your axis. I then laid in bed and did the MILD steps and slipped in to sleep. I dreamt that i was at my school seeking something(cant member wat) but i was in the gym and everyone was there and i was feeling down and i wanted to be lucid (wierd) i tried but i didnt kno how and some one out of the blue said i can help you and we walked to the weightroom and she was still walking and i sat down and fell asleep and i heard her say "he's out" and i woke up (in my dream) with Lucidty and i was like woah i can do anything and all a sudden my vission bluured and lost color and i knew wat was happening so i started spining. i then thought about the matrix and dbz(really wieird) and i was about to superman outa there but i woke up. I was lucid for like 10 mins dream time. That was only my second attempt to have dream control or be lucid. I jus read about 30 mins ago that about only 100000 people in the U.S can do this and i felt weird. How long does it usually take a person to learn? it took me two nights, but i still need to learn to not get exited and wake.

I don't like that figure of 100000 people in america can LD, as I tend to think that everyone has the ability to LD, but some just do it naturally or more often than others.

As for the length of time it takes to have an LD, it can take months, depending on the person, level of motivation, and free time. You're pretty lucky to be able to LD in two days of trying, perhaps you could one day train to have them almost every night?

And yeah, getting exited and waking is really annoying
